I trust that these are people who are striving to be elected to do a job they believe they are uniquely qualified to do. I believe they are basically good people full of convictions and ideas. I believe that some of them may even believe that they can deliver on the promises they make...but I do not believe these promises.
Honestly, I have no idea who I am voting for because it feels like a choice between bad and worse this time around. I just pray for the best and I am starting to prepare for the worst.

Well to be honest, I don't feel that most of the politicians are honest, but I cannot speak for every one of them. However, the majority, in my opinion, have shown themselves to have bad intentions. I know exactly who has my vote, and I'm not exactly ecstatic over our options, but I can see who will do best for us and who will destroy us, so I'll vote accordingly, but not 100% happily.

I doubt anyone except a candidates's family are 100% happy when casting their ballots. I think it's more about intentions then what they say, if that makes any sense!

I'd say that a decent number of politicians are entirely honest and working for the common good (or at least their constituent's view of it). However, the problem is the problem ones are the ones that get the news focus, and with a few thousand politicians, it doesn't take a large percentage to get continuous bad politician stories

I trust them as far as you can trust people representing you. You can't trust them completely but you can't say all are crooks either You have to partially trust at least one of them.

Would someone necessarily think someone is 100% good for a job, just because they're family? I know very little of my family, except for maybe one or two members would be a reasonable politician.

Nope! Politicians LIE! They are groomed to do it so that they can win elections. No matter what they might be. I will never believe a politician... Sad but true.
