I think that it should be investigated for discrepancies, but should be kept private unless there are new facts and definite allegations and charges brought against someone.

Well, the likelihood that there are new facts are high, otherwise it wouldn't be reopened, but it shouldn't be public - that's the way of criminal investigations.

The police blew it the first time, they will sweep it under this time again. They had no choice (but)to re open based on all the interviews on TV.
