Not sure if anyone followed the contest tonight, but Miss Nebraska was just crowned Miss America about an hour ago. Here's the CNN article about it.

I was thinking about these stereotypically beautiful women, and I was kind of surprised I couldn't think of any big scandals dealing with former Miss Americas becoming porn stars. I Googled it and found that the 2009 winner did go on to do some porn, but I don't remember that when it happened.

Any thoughts on this topic, or beauty pageants in general?

You are apparently too young to remember the scandal with Vanessa Williams. She lost her title in the mid 1980s when it came to light that she had posed for some faux-lesbian photos (which later appeared in Playboy).
