Announcing Our Brand New Fully Integrated Off Site Review Program

Contributor: Delete My Account Delete My Account
Hello everyone!! I am every excited about today's annoucement. Eden Fantasys is proud to officially announce the full integration of our off site review program. Our programmers have been working overtime to get this system up and running for all you trusted contributors with advanced status that have your own blogs and websites. Now, we have made it even easier to post your reviews both on Eden Fantasys and your own site/blog. The system is totally integrated into your assignment cart and a breeze to use. It will now allow you to post a review on Eden Fantasys that has a direct URL link to your own blog/site as well as some other great new advantages such as off site review widgets that include product shots, ratings, and even your partner code all to be embedded with your offsite review.

This is really a great step forward for the entire community and I look forward to reading all your reviews both onsite and offsite. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me directly via email: drewg@webmerchantsinc. com. Oh, and if you have a kickin' blog but no advanced status drop me a note and I'll see what I can do.

There will be more technical details to follow in the next few days.

Sincerely,
Drew G.

The only drawback I see is this:

If I buyout an item AND have an item for outside review to request, the system will not let you request it until the buyout item review is submitted

Also, if you have a buyout item on the way, and it's time for your on site review, you cannot request your on site item for the same reason as above.

I know why this is in place, however there needs to be an override for folks that do several reviews for several different reasons. A buyout item should not integrate into the free requests at all.

We are working on validation rule separation for buyout and free assignments. It will be released within 2 weeks.

Hello everyone. Yesterday we announced Eden Fantasys new offsite review program and we are all very excited about. Below is a more detailed step by step in how to complete an offsite review assignment.

To request an offsite review assignment you must have advanced status and your own established blog or website. Then follow the steps below:

#1 Log into your contributor account
#2 Grab the item you wish to review
#3 Request Free Assignment of that item
#4 Indicate you wish to write an offsite review (your blog/website) then read and agree to Terms and Conditions
#5 The Eden Fantasys Team will review your assignment request
#6 If the assignment is approved you will be asked to accept the assignment and once you agree the item will be shipped to you
#7 Write the review on your blog or website (offsite) complete with at least two direct links to Eden Fantasys
#8 Log back into your contributor account
#9 Fill out the review form on Eden Fantasys website (onsite) including a URL link to your offsite review
#10 Add the offsite review widget to your website/blog

There are however jut a few stipulations with the new program indicated below:

A. If you want a New Free Assignment (on or offsite) you must have no other outstanding free assignments. Currently you must also have no outstanding Buy Out Assignment but this aspect will be changed soon

B. If you want a new Buy Out Assignment you can not have another outstanding Buy Out Assignment. Currently you can not request a Free Assignment (on or offsite) with an outstanding Buy Out Assignment but this aspect will be changed soon.

This is a great new program and we look forward to working with all of you great bloggers.
As always you can email me directly at drewg@webmerchantsinc. com.

Sincerely

Drew G.

This is going to sound oh-so-stupid, but as it stands right now, I add a text link from the blog versions of my reviews to my EF reviews (so people can see pictures and video). How does this improve on that?

Backseat Boohoo -- You do not sound stupid. This was an excellent question. The new system will allow the onsite review to have your permanent URL link to the offsite review. This URL will remain with the Eden Fantasy Review and allow anyone on Eden Fantasys at any time to be able to click through to the review on your site.

A couple questions about this.

1, Are there no time limits between off site reviews as long as there is currently no outstanding free assignments? How does this affect the 30 day waiting period for free on site assignments?

2, When we fill out the review field on site, are we to include only the link to our off site review in the main body area of the review? Does this review show up on the site as a normal review, but only showing "go here to read the full review" or does it not show up on the site? I saw a review recently that made me go "WTF?" as it looked like a normal review until I clicked into it. It only had a link in the review body, but the other areas of the review were showing (summary, vrooms, and bees). Today however, I was unable to find that review. Is this normal? Do the reviews show up on this site for a day and then disappear if they are an off site review?

Okay, that was more than two questions really. I'm just a little confused at this point, so answers would be much appreciated.

Just to clarify - can we have more than one free review at a time? (Like one on site and one off?)

I am getting something sent to review on my blog and am very excited but am not sure how it will work. I expect to have more questions when it comes to review time.

Yeah, the actual linking part of it--what the review will look like on both sites--kind of confuses me. Do we write the review on our blog and the EF review links to the blog post, do we write the review on EF and our blog links to the EF review, or...?

God, I know that sounds dumb as all Hell, but I'm an anal-retentive INTP and I'm obsessed with how systems work.

These are all great questions. Here is a link to a completed off site review and I hope that answers most of your questions. link
The off site review program well be monitored and approved on a case by case basis but generally speaking, like onsite free assignments, there will be a 30 days waiting period.

As always if you have questions you can email me directly at drewg@webmerchantsinc. com

Thanks again.

Okay, I see now!

It doesn't directly appeal to me, because I prefer to have my actual review on EF and leave any extra stuff (like my experiences) on my blog, but it's definitely a neat option.

Well, I have to say that looks effin' horrible. It looks like it wasn't thought out at all and the functionality is super impaired. I would suggest posting a snippet of it with a "more" link like in journal posts.

Absolutely correct.

Posting in both places is a little much to begin with.....

The point of it is lost to me.

I hate to say it, but I absolutely agree. It must be the same review I saw before (not sure why I couldn't find it again later) and it is very off putting. I think either there should be a review there or not, a "click here to read the review" seems pretty redundant after I just clicked on a "review" button. Why isn't there a review like normal (perhaps a summarized or shorter review) and a more in dept (or more personal/erotic) review on the blog. Why isn't the blog linked to by the "resources" area? Isn't that what it's there for anyways?

Curious about something...isn't linking back to blogs that contain ads for several other sex toy stores not that great for business? I may be the only contributor with a blog who only reviews toys from this store, so I'm curious.

Is there a price limit on these off site assignments?

I agree with Bulma about having to click the review -then- click to actually see it. Too much clicking.

I do love the idea, however. I don't think just linking it as a resource is quite adequate, though, and I certainly do not want to write 2 reviews (or even posts the same one twice).
