Boink Box was launched about two weeks ago and is similar to Birchbox, but for sex toys. It is a subscription service where you get a new box filled with products every month. I could see this being a good way to experiment, but EF is good enough for me, especially because it provides discounts and/or free items. Would you subscribe to Boink Box?

No. I have so many toys I'd probably get dupes and plus I have a feeling they would send cheaper things.

Nah, Eden is good to me
07/28/2012
no eden is to good to me

I'm in favor of quality over quantity. Even if it's all quality stuff I'd rather choose my own than waste having excess toys all over the place every month.
07/28/2012
No, I'd rather spend the money making sure I get toys that I know I'd like.
07/28/2012
Its an interesting concept, but I prefer Eden's system much more.
07/28/2012
No. You'd prob get a bunch of things you don't want anyways.

This is exactly what I was thinking. I'd hate to waste that much every month.

In my experience, services like Birchbox end up sending you a bunch stuff you won't even use. I got a complimentary Beauty Bar/Allure Sample Society box, and only two out of five products were something I would actually buy. Now I have three deluxe samples to add to the huge bag of product samples collecting dust in my drawer. If you look at the page that shows examples of the products Boinkbox sends out, you'll see some cheapo furry love cuffs, an inexpensive plastic vibe, and some lubes and body paints that are of the variety you get in those cheap sex toys kits.

We use Eden exclusively for all our sex needs now.

EF is the way to go. You buy what you want and the customer reviews are priceless!

Agreed. For the subscription price of $45 per month, you could get much nicer things here that you would actually use.

I love that the goal is to expose people to a variety of sex toys they may have never thought of trying before. I don't think I would use it because I'm broke most of the time and I'm picky. Also, I spend too much time talking about sex toys so I have a good idea of what's out there.
07/29/2012
Not for $45 a month. I will stick with Eden.
07/29/2012
If I were new to sex toys and didn't know about Eden, it'd be a really good way to experiment.
But luckily I do have Eden, so I wouldn't bother

I am the founder of Boink Box and I would love to encourage anyone to ask me any questions they may have about our service. If anyone would like to try it out even - drop me an email I will hook you up.
I would love any feedback you guys have or if you have any ideas on how to make it awesome!
Best!

I don't think so. 45 dollars a month, I probably won't get high quality toys/lubes.

Personally, I would not be interested. I can see the potential appeal for someone new to toys. It might provide a sampling of various toys for people to test out. The drawback is that the products are likely not the safest of materials to keep costs down. I also can't imagine subscribing to a random box every month, but a one time purchase might appeal to newcomers.
08/01/2012
$45 a month seems a little much for a box of unidentified toys and sensual products that I might not even like. I might be persuaded to sign up if I had more say in what kinds of toys I'd be sent.
08/01/2012
I'm too much of a toy snob to do this.
08/01/2012
No I am satisfied with Eden atleast I can see what I am going to get. I would not want to get a box and there is something in there I do not like.
08/01/2012
Love eden. But am eager to know what people get in this, i find the price a little steep though, when you don't really know what you are going to be getting :/
08/01/2012
I would look into it more, but unless they give good examples of what you would get, I doubt it.

I'd be more likely to warn the readers of my blog(s) AWAY from this service than to promote it! Of course, to be fair, I also warn them away from similar services for diapers (Honest brand does a monthly delivery but is a rip-off), children's toys (I forget the name of it now), children's clothing (Again, the name escapes me), jewelry (several of these out there), etc...
For the price ($45 to $95), I can buy loads of quality items right here and not waste my money on stuff I don't need and/or want! That being said though...I'm always looking for new things to surprise and amaze me when it comes to sex toys and services, I wouldn't turn down a free box if they wanted to send me one to review. I'd need way more detail about the service than I found on my quick look at the site though.

EF is amazing. Boink Box sounds great, actually. I would think it's awesome for people who like surprises or new things. Nothing wrong with a company doing something different. I wish EF had an option like this. A giant box of unexpected fun each month sounds like a real treat! If there were more choices to make, it would be even better. Like a varied amount for different box sizes. Like 10$ for smaller toys and samples, $20 for either one for or a few small things, so on. I want to say I saw a similar concept somewhere, but I cannot recall.
