I agree that stocking the Sybian is a risk for Eden. It's expensive, probably will not be a big seller and not knowing what the profit margin is for this product, it is a high risk product to carry.

I would never buy one, I have plenty of good toys, a good man and personally don't enjoy having sex sitting up. Also, in this Recession, I can't see too many people, other than the uber rich or those who are running commercial dungeons needing a toy like this.

Yet there are three who have shown an interest in buying one - in this very thread, and most likely more who don't visit the forum, so clearly there's a market for one, even if it is a smaller one than you're talking about.

considering the recent fraud with the point system totally $5000, I think they have taken enough of a risk to keep a large customer base happy. If those 3 people have the money to burn on an overpriced piece of low quality material-ed toy, then they can go to the company themselves. If I'm going to pay more than $100 for it it better be high quality materials and worth it, and a vibrating bonbon with a rubber covering just does nothing for me. Give me the whole Jopen line and a fleet of Elevens.

It is a giant, pricey item...forgetting the price of the item itself, I don't believe they could manage the cheap to free shipping as set now. Additional shipping rates for the item (built into the cost most likely) would have to happen, otherwise they'd have to raise the shipping for everything just to cover the cost to ship out one or two of these.

Yet there are already giant, and in some cases pricey, items that need additional shipping rates. For the Liberator Ramp it states:

and those toys are still extremely cheaper than the sybian, have multiple uses and are made out of high quality materials.

I think a lot of people want to try it just to see what the hype is all about, but it's a lot of space in Eden's storage, for starters. It's also so expensive that only a small number of people would both be able to afford it and want to spend that kind of money on it. Not to mention we're in a borderline Depression. Who would spend $2000 on a single toy? It's the same reason Eden doesn't carry something like Lelo's luxury vibes, Inez, Earl, Yva, or Olga- they're too expensive and not enough people will actually buy one for it to be worth it. Lots of people say they will because they want to try it, but faced with actually spending two grand or more on a toy, most won't. And the Sybian is just way too expensive for the materials it uses. They're pretty cheaply made and not body safe. I'm sure a vibrator and Bon Bon would do pretty much the same trick and be nicer to your wallet.

I'm not in the market myself.
I do think it would be an interesting addition, and if I DID want one, I certainly would want to get it from Eden (like any other adult item I get!). I think it just depends how much of a risk Eden sees it as. I don't know how well the Sybian would sell, so it's hard to say!

I don't think EF needs to carry the Sybian. It's a very large piece that doesn't fit inside a drawer or under the bed. Plus, EF carries the iRide and Hitachi/Axis which is conceptually rather similar.

It would be incredibly neat if Eden did stock it, but probably very few people would actually buy it, and thus it wouldn't be a worthwhile investment on Eden's part.

I'm wondering... There's a lot of votes for "yes," but I wonder how much of that is just "yes, Eden should at least carry it" and how much is "yes, and I would buy it." While I'd like to see it here, I wouldn't actually get it. It's cheaper and more appealing to get a Liberator Toy Shape and use my favorite dildos with that.

Somehow, I don't think anyone would appreciate the shipping costs. They wouldn't be able to offer free shipping, they'd lose money. And the shipping on this would be outrageous.

Not to mention, I wouldn't buy one anyway
