After I turned my points into a gift card, I can't figure out how to apply that to my buy out assignment? I know it will still want my credit card but after I put in my gift card number it still shows the same balance? Is this how it's supposed to be?

Look on the bottom of the invoice. Copy and paste the gift card number into the second box on the right and then when it is applied go to the next part.

Here are some screenshots, I'm not exactly sure what your question is, but maybe they'll help...
Then enter your gift card code and hit "submit".
Just like js250 said, you should then see your total go down as you apply gift cards. (You can use more than one by doing the same procedure again.)
You may have to enter your credit card info still, but it won't be charged if your gift cards cover the total of your order.
Does this help?
