I have found so many interesting threads to respond to, that I don't have enough time in one session to answer them all. So I click the 'heart button' to save it under my 'Favorite Discussion' tab which is located at the bottom of my page. For me, it has gotten so long and unmanageable now, I've had to decide which ones to keep and answer and which ones I have to close (uncheck). Do you take advantage of this feature, or do you have other issues? Do you only follow certain contributors or topics?
Do you SAVE interesting threads under your “Favorite Discussions” tab?

Didn't know this was an option.

I usually set alerts if I'm interested in a conversation rather than favorite it.

I am still trying to figure out that piece to the site, but I do save some!
06/24/2012
I don't, but I may add an alert if I'm really interested.
06/24/2012
Yep, I do that a LOT on interesting discussions. I'll also do that on threads where someone has asked a question and I've posted in it to help answer their question. Then I can easily check back to see if they got their question answered or not.

I've only used it for one discussion. I always forget to favorite things so I can come back to them. I have to start remembering about that option.

I just recently discovered the heart button so I'm saving lots of fun threads now!
06/24/2012
Nope lol

I did not know there was that button...

I don't use it.

When you click on an interesting thread, the "heart" is just to the left of the main title. It is in a grey shade color. If you click on it, you will see the "heart" change to a orange color! Now the particular thread will appear under your "Favorite Discussions" TAB at the bottom. There are 4 main TABS. It is the second one from the left.

Yes, I do that often.

I haven't used it yet, but I've thought about it.

I almost exclusively use the favorite discussions tool for threads that I start myself. For the others, I generally post in them so they come up in the 'my discussions' tab.

I always set alerts on posts I want to follow! I had no clue about the heart!

I save stuff frequently. I wish that we could click the heart from our wall page. Sometimes when I look through the 7 pages it shows you see a comment you want to read all of, but if you click that getting back to the same place is difficult. I would like to be able to save them to favorites then read them all when I go to the forums. I try to clean out old favorites every 2 or 3 days so I only have 2 or 3 pages of favorites.

For the most part I save threads I have started so I can keep track of them. I also save threads from other contributors that I like to keep track of, these include threads like; the Orgy thread, #Ask Eden, Build a Better Eden, Weekly rumbles, Video Guidelines etc. etc.. Also threads that I have answered questions in get saved too.
There are always threads that I forget to save so then I have to go through the "My discussions & posts" or use the search bar to find them.

I don't. I just search for what I am looking for.

I made a post to someone who asked a similar question about the "heart" button! "When you click on an interesting thread, the "heart" is just to the left of the main title. I have saved a couple of my favorite threads.

I just recently learned about the heart feature from Toytimetim, but now that I know about it, I have selected a couple threads to watch.
When JR was listing the manufactured sponsored reviews on the forums I set an alert for him as one of my favorite contributors because I didn't want to miss out on anything fun, but that's before I learned I could heart the thread.

I am glad that more and more contributors are finding the "heart" button. I believe there are other features in the EF Forum that we can all learn about which make it a learning and productive experience.

This was exactly my thoughts as well for starting this discussion. My 'Favorite Discussion Tab' is getting so large (maybe 9 pages long) I need to either uncheck the 'heart' or answer some of the threads!

Here is a restatement of how to find the "Heart": When you click on an interesting thread, the "heart" is just to the left of the main title. It is in a grey shade color. If you click on it, you will see the "heart" change to a orange color! Now the particular thread will appear under your "Favorite Discussions" TAB at the bottom. There are 4 main TABS.
