Do you think you could make one work?
Would you stay in a long distance relationship?

I'm in a long distance relationship now, and have been in one for awhile. I can make it work, yes, but I need to know that the distance will eventually end one day.

I never thought I would, but I am. Once you're in that situation, it just seems worth it with some people. I'm currently living where I grew up, and I know that there is no one here for me. I'll be back with him in January, and after next summer, it may be another year. If we part ways, I'm okay with that. I'll be sad, but I'll be happy that we got to be together at all, because he really is a special person, and perhaps the only person I'd wait around for, half a world away.

I completely agree. There are some people who are worth the effort.

I did. My fiance and I were in a long distance relationship for 3-3 1/2 years. It wasn't easy but it was so worth it. It definitely isn't for everyone.

I was previously with my husband. It was nine months, then another two this year. I don't mind it.

Been there done it and it's not fun...guess it depends on the distance/person, but based on my past experience I would say no.

Yes, and I'm in one now. As long as there's a finite end, it's fine. tough, but fine

I've been in one before, it was alright. It'd depend on the person, obviously.

Honestly, I'm not sure. The relationship I'm in now (though I'm actually not sure if it's officially a relationship at the moment) isn't long-distance, but because of his job and schooling, it's difficult to predict when I can see him. So far I've been okay with that.
The majority of my life has been spent single, which seems to have taught me to have an extreme amount of patience in these matters, so perhaps I could keep a long-distance relationship up if I truly liked a person. On the other hand, there's a difference between someone being close but busy and them being far away...
