Would you rather work with someone who is lazy or someone who is a "downer" (negative attitude all the time)?

I've learned not to take on other's emotions so I would find working with a negative person less difficult than a lazy person. and a lazy co-worker -- like nails on a chalkboard!

My biggest issue is people who don't do the work there contracted to do. I don't really care how happy or positive they are as long as they do their job. - C

However, that isn't the way the poll went. Nationally, far more people said a "downer" is far more disruptive to work place happiness and productivity, then one single lazy employee!!!

Attitude can be dealt with, being lazy is infuriating for me to deal with.

As long as they can get the work done, I don't have any problems dealing with a negative attitude.
