Would you like to see an EF Travel Club in the Forums?

Contributor: BuckeyeGal04 BuckeyeGal04
From my perspective, a "Travel Club" forum would be really nice to share ideas, experiences, and travel-related topics. I would like to see if there are others who would find this community group valuable as well.

Examples of how I think it would be valuable is if someone is planning to visit a city where you live or where you've visited yourself and would make suggestions for a first-time visitor. Another topic of discussion may be cruising. Perhaps you can contribute or seek tips on specific cruise lines or cruise ports of call.

What do you think?

I don't see the value of a travel forum.

I think this is a good idea even if I can't always participate. I love to take day trips and give suggestions on where I have been, however we do not travel too extensively yet.

It would be a cool thing, but i don't travel much, so I can't give much of an 'opinion'

I think it would be a good idea. I was hoping to visit the US in the future and I'd check it out for ideas.
Unfortunately, at this stage I can't offer much and I don't know how many people would be interested in knowing about parts of AU that I have been to.

Same with China. It'd be great. But I kind of don't do the touristy thing anymore but more the off the beaten path type of thing. And if anyone goes there, they'd have to have a trusted translator.

Sounds pretty cool. I don't travel a lot, but If I ever got the money to do it, Id love to know what others thought of certain destinations.

Would love to. I've traveled to different areas that have off-the-beaten path cool things, so I'd be glad to help out. Or at least offer some funny trivia from my own experiences (like the three Tibetan monks in Georgia).

I think it is a good idea for those that are able to travel or who enjoy traveling. I wouldn't be able to participate because we don't travel and it would take an act of congress to get my husband to travel because he get's car sick and sea sick and refuses to fly.

I think it would be a good idea. If I ever travel anywhere, it would be nice to ask for advice on places to go and stuff like that.

I'm not much of a traveller, but it sounds like it would be nice to have for those of you who do travel and I would like to hear stories and stuff!

I'm so thrilled to hear that many of you are also interested!

I like Lauren's vision of there being feature locations! Even if you don't have plans to visit a location, I think it's always wonderful to learn about different parts of the world!

Also, even though you may not travel much if ever yourself, if someone else is traveling to your part of the world, you can still contribute by making suggestions to visitors. Unless you specify, no one has to know if you are "in the know" because you live there or if it's because you have been there yourself. ;-)

EF, are you listening? We really want an EF Travel Club!
