Would you....?

How many of your Facebook friends do you really know?

I've never been really big on FB or Twitter as far as socializing goes, I'm more old-school when it comes to social media but I thought this was a really interesting read.

Would you ever try to meet all of the people you've listed as friends on your platform of choice?

I have rules for accepting FB requests. If they come from one of my schools then I accept them even if I don't know them too well. I come from a very close high school and we like to help out the younger folks.

I don't have a whole bunch of facebook friends, but they're basically classed by family folks, high school folks, and college folks. Call me boring

I don't do Twitter and I just started FB a month or two ago. My FB is only for staying in touch with Eden people and some shopping stuff, but not my real life. So, I only know the people if they are from Eden & even then, until people left here, I only had 4 friends, lol! Now I have several more, but no, I don't really know them. If they invite me and I recognize their Eden name, I accept. Some I have never heard anything from after that, ha ha.

I would definitely try to meet some of them, though! I was recently going to meet one, but her plans changed, (we're going to try again, later). If some lived close by, I would want to meet them, too, as long as we were really good EF friends, sure! I have no desire to make the effort to meet all of the friends on my FB account, but if it was easily arranged, like a big get together in one place, I would like to meet them. I would like to meet you, too, Stormy & Mwar!

I don't do twitter either and I just deleted my FB in February. I honestly was always annoyed by the people who are like "UGGHHHH FACEBOOK" but I find that I've joined their ranks... I am actually happier in my day-to-day life without having FB. It's been the source of so much drama and fighting between friends and family, it just wasn't worth it for me to keep it. Unfortunately, after deleting my old FB, I'm now realizing just how many websites expect you to have one and integrate your account into it. Bah, I say!

I've been stalked in the past so when I DID have a bunch of social networking profiles open, I didn't accept anyone whose name I didn't recognize. Now that I'm mostly only active on sites like Tumblr, you can't really bar people from looking at your posts (you can add them to your block list, but they can still just go directly to your blog and read it anyway, making it pretty useless). I have no clue who 90% of my followers are over there tbh.

I do know a lot of my friends on Fbook. Most are from where I went to school, which isn't far from where I currently live and I'm from a pretty small town.

You're sweet, I'd love to meet you, too! (And a few others around here.)

Back when I was AOLchattingmybuttoff for fourteen hours a day, I did end up meeting several people. It was an amazing adventure and I did get to meet Sam (former admin) once. She's adorable. So I'd definitely be up for that.

At one time we had ideas for meet and greets for EF contributors in various cities. It never really panned out though. I would really love to see all of us in one room or at a convention. That would be a ton of fun. Have "Name That Toy" games...

I would meet everyone I'm friends with on facebook, and have met the vast majority of them at least 3 times, but there are definitely people I dislike who are my "friends" just because we went to high school together or worked together and I prefer to be cordial and friendly. I don't add people on facebook unless I at least know who they are.

My Fb friends are people I know in real life except for one or two who I added when I was adopting my dog from India.

I know a few from the internet, those who actually took the time to get to know me (takes them a year to get my FB since for some reason, my name doesn't come up o.O) and most of them are family and friends I've met.

I don't have any friends that I don't know. There was a girl that tried to add me that apparently graduated with me. I can not find her in any of my yearbooks and I have no memory of her so I refused to add her. She is friends with a bunch of my classmates though. I just find being friends with people that I don't know either pointless or too difficult to keep up with.

I know EVERYONE on my fb. And I am friends with all of them (I don't have 300 friends on there either).

I don't think there is anyone in my FB friends list that I have never met face to face. The few that might be there I guarantee that I will meet at my next house party. I have 174 friends at the moment.

On my private account, I know everyone there. I jsut never have liked Facebook. I usually email them and make a point of seeing all of the "friends" there each time I visit. I usually call them all a few times a month too.

As for my online Facebook account...nope. I don't really have an interest in meeting all of them, there are a few people listed there I wouldn't mind meeting and a few of them I wouldn't mind hooking up with either...
