My boyfriend worked thanksgiving AND black friday last year. To say the least, he said he'd never do it again.

Used to (both retail and food service). Hated it. Made my opinion of humanity take a steep nosedive - it hasn't recovered.

Nope. I've worked in a grocery store before, but I don't ever recall working Black Friday (we might have been closed). However, I did have to work Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve (and yes, all of them the same year).

Kind of on backup call if work needs me bad...but that comes with being in charge. I am never really "off".

At my job we have to sign up for at least two holidays every year. Goes with the territory. It's a line of work that never, ever closes.
