Luckily I haven't experienced this I was told I wouldn't have wisdom teeth since they aren't showing on any x-rays.

They told me that for years and now just this past dentist visit they tell me that my wisdom teeth are growing in sideways or something. They don't hurt or anything so I guess it's not an issue right now; I have a tiny tiny mouth, at least that's what they said.

I had mine out when I was about 17. It was a miserable experience for me, as most of them were impacted and had to be surgically removed.
I was only allowed to have thick liquids for the first day, so I was eating milk shakes exclusively. The shitty diet combined with the painkillers they gave me made me pretty sick, which only made my mouth hurt worse. (Ever tried to puke with stitches in your mouth? Not fun)

Had mine out when I was 15. I don't remember anything about the surgery.. but it was a pretty painful recovery.

Yes I had all mine removed at the same time. It was very painful.

No and I have all four...
not sure I even want to try to have them removed unless they start causing problems.

Mine never showed up and still haven't, which is a good thing, as we never had dental insurance growing up. I can't imagine them trying to grow in, as my mouth is too small for anything else to be in it.

I still have them, but they annoy the crap out of me. Coming up and going down. The dentist doesn't want to take them out if they don't need to come out.

I had them removed at 16, and ended up with dry sockets and it was terrible. My son who is 21 had them out last summer surgically removed and it too didn't go well.

Sure did 4 years ago.

I have all mine and have no problems with them.

Yes all of them.

Not yet. I have really slow teeth.
01/09/2013
no, still have them. the dentist wanted to pull them when I was 16, he said they would cause problems. I am in my mid 30's, and no problems to date. I will have them taken out if a problem ever arises.

Had them taken out 2 years ago... I was awake the entire time and is was AWESOME! I wish I could have watched it lol I'm weird

I had them out surgically, and I think it depends on the dentist who does them. Everyone I know had a horrible time with them, turning yellow and looking like a chipmunk, all swollen and such. I had mine out in my 20's at a great oral surgeons office with just twilight. I had no bruising or swelling, and didn't really even need meds. So...shop around if you are having yours done, and find a good dentist!

Pururin
I still have all of mine, and I hope to be able to keep them the rest of my life. I had plenty of room for them and they came in fine. At this point I couldn't imagine life without them.

I had mine taken out when I was 18, and so far it's pretty much the worst experience of my life. I think a lot of it had to do with the dentist that did it, he was fast and really brutal (my mom could hear him sawing away on me from the waiting room and even the assistants looked freaked out after). I was off of work and on vicodin for like three weeks. Also they got infected and it just sucked all around.
My brother, on the other hand, had his done a couple weeks before me and was eating pizza two days after the surgery.

I had them removed when I was in high school. I asked to be knocked out, lol.

Yep, got all 4 at once in college. Wasn't too bad at all

Mine are long gone. I had them removed as a teen.
01/10/2013
i've never gotten mine.

I had all of mine removed at once a few years ago.

It was painful for me!

Yes and it sucked! It hurt for a week afterwords and the medicine didn't help me. Braces were worse though..

I did and it was FANTASTIC. I got some really great painkillers....even though I didn't have ANY pain at all ever while I was recovering....and my gramma bought me like a MILLION tons of ice cream and chicken broth and apple sauce....because I apparently picked all of it out while I was wonky from my anesthesia
