Why some polls aren't open to all

I've noticed sometimes when I go to vote in a poll that it's only open to Eden reviewers and I'm wondering why someone would do that, exclude everyone else.

Because they want accurate responses from people who actually own the toy.

Rosie brings up a good point.

Many times in the past when I wanted an opinion from people who actually owned the toy or toys I was looking at, people would just pop in and say which toy they would want, usually without listing why. That is all good that they want the toy, but that is not what I am looking for. I was looking at why one toy was preferred over another.

I do not think it has to do with exclusion really, but just as the lovely Rossie said, they just want an honest opinion from people who actually have the toy. And one of the best ways to do that is to make it only open to those that have the item in question.

Hope this helps!

I feel excluded when this happens too. When I comment I indicate whether or not I have the toy. I think I have had good input to offer on toys I own but have been excluded because I have not reviewed the toy. I dont get it either.

Good thing not too many people choose that option. I haven't been writing reviews on some of my favorite toys, but I still want to add my two cents to their discussion.
