Is it because they're from your hometown? Is it because they're simply amazing? Is it because they're from somewhere that you wish was your hometown?

I don't really like sports very much, so it's always interested me how people get so into teams. I'd like to hear what you think.

because they are from my home state, and I had friends who played on the teams. I could care less about the school, but I love the football team.

Because they're from my hometown. Because I grew up watching them play, and I've supported them for as long as I can remember. Kind of the same reason a lot of people hold their religious beliefs ....but that's a dscussion for a different thread.
