I love ear candles. Ever tried em? I've been getting them at my local herbstore since I was a kid -- my mom used to get them, and I continued to get them and use them every so often as an adult. I only do it like once a year, but holy chickens! I LOVE cutting the candle open to see what comes out. Oh man. It's so neat. I did it when I had an ear infection a year ago and ew! But I really take interest in icky stuff.
P.S. You can get those ear candles for about $1 too, so the icky fun is cheap!

I would love to try one. My husband can't use Q-tips and ends up having to go the ENT for a cleaning. This item could help. I hate using Q-tips too. If this item does work...I need it.

haha whaaat
12/18/2012
It just seems disgusting!
12/18/2012
No way!
12/18/2012
I'm perfectly happy with q-tips.

I hear that qtips are bad for your ears

I hear that all the time (pun intended)..."hear". However, while my ear doctor has commented about it for...well, decades, I am over 50, and have used Q tips to dry my ears about twice a day for just about all that time, and have yet to suffer any ill effects. Okay, I am NOT telling anyone else to do that. In fact, the instructions say "never put these inside your ears". I guess I personally have made the choice to "take the risk, and violate that rule". (Please do not try this at home, I am a trained, ear cleaning professional).

That is what they say. They even ran ads saying "never put anything smaller then your elbow into your ear canal".

Kendra, congratulations. I will not tell you what job my hubby and I have, but I assure you, it would twist many peoples stomachs in knots. Our dinner conversations are not what most "civilians" would tolerate. However, despite what we thought was our iron clad "gastric constitutions", the fact is, you have produced the first ever posting, here at EF, that we have seen, that made us both queezy. We were laughing and at the same time taking dibs on the nearest toilet, into which we were worried our just finished dinner would end up.

Cute idea, but unnecessary. Removing too much wax from the ear can be harmful, and I don't need yet another appliance around the house.

it reminds me of the contraption from rugrats that Drew put all of Chaz's money into during the episode where he won the lottery.
