Some of you out there are horrible blanket thiefs. Some of you are the victims in this situation. So which of you steal the blankets, and who's left in the cold?
Who stole all the blankets?

I love having them over my face and my body, but I'll kick them off my feet. Poor hubby will be chattering all night. I just tell him to put on socks.

Lol, I do the weather leg, and we're both blanket hogs, but he's bigger, so he usually wins. But in the winter when we have the big fluffy comforter on the bed I usually end up curling that under my head and using it as my pillow, lol

He SAYS I steal them, but I think he does . I suspect it's a little bit of both.

No matter what time of year I HAVE to wrap my feet, I do it and don't know it till the morning and she gives me 'that' look.

My partner likes to completely cover himself in the blankets and occasionally the pillow too. I often have to yank on the sheets to be able to get back underneath them. As long as it's over my midsection though I'm good. I always stick a foot or both out from the covers hehe.

We both wake up to the other hogging 'em.

For a while mine was so consistent in how he would go to take them that I would end up waking up as he was starting to move to roll, and just grab on to my end really tight, then hold and roll back towards my side of the bed. Worked most of the time

I kick them all off in my sleep anyway haha.

I'm the blanket hog! We usually end up with separate blankets lol
07/29/2010
were both totally blanket hogs lol I hate having my feet under the covers tho so ill stick them out and wrap them around the top. He on the other hand loves to have his feet under the covers. I also will wrap the edge of the blanket under me so he cant pull them away from me when were sleeping. He usually finds a way to steal them from me tho and I keep a spare blanket by my side of the bed in the wintertime.

Poor Jonathan. He always ends up not having any blankets. When I'm cold I wrap myself up like a cocoon. I feel badly because he always wakes up freezing. The worst thing is is that I usually have like four or five blankets on.

I steal them. I am a blanket-holic. I need blankets everywhere all the time. In the Summer, in sweltering heat, I still need blankets. It is more a comfort thing to me rather than being cold. I feel safe and comfy when wrapped in a blanket!

Well curently and for the past year I havent had a husband home to share the blankets with...however that will change soon
And when he was home, he had the blankets. Witch was totally cool with me cause I dont use many blankets.

We used to have a little more of a tug of war while getting used to sleeping with someone else, but our tugging is gentle now--not too much hogging on either side.

We used to steal blankets from one another. It made sleeping extremely uncomfortable. So now we bought another blanket. And both curl up in our own blankets. No stealing to be done.

I like a tidy bed, with the sheets carefully tucked in all around, the blanket on top, with the sheet carefully folded over the top of the blanket, and the duvet at the bottom of the bed, in case I get cold, with some pillows for my little knees. Then I slip into the bed without mussing anything. I MUST HAFF CONTROL IN MINE BED!
My Man has different ideas. He takes the ENTIRE sheet and drags it over his shoulder when he's ready to sleep. He takes pillow that DO NOT belong to him, he pulls the BOTTOM SHEET OUT from being tucked, and we have a water bed, so it really messes things up. Then he puts his big Man Feet ON TOP of my carefully constructed sheet and blankie sculpture and then I have to hit him....and he steals the covers.....

My husband always steals the covers. And when I try to get them back he gripes, even in his sleep.

She steals the blankets from me, but it's generally alright because her body is so warm that when I snuggle up to her, it makes me warm. I'm always very cold, and she's always warm, so even though I don't get the blankets, I get a nice little cozy furnace in my bed.
I do not beat her for it though. HAHA! She's too cute and peaceful when she's sleeping for me to disturb her. I once attempted to tug at them and then she rolled over even more to tug them back. So..that's how that attempt went!

We both do it! Sometimes neither do it, and then some nights we are both doing it!

I'm the one who gets cold, so I hog the covers. I'm also the one who sprawls out all over the bed, only leaving a little sliver in the corner for my hubby. I'm a bitch to share a bed with.
07/30/2010
Lol, I'm weird in bed.. I get in and I'm super cold, and then after a few minutes I'm the sun. I radiate heat like crazy and he wonders how I can sleep while being a nuclear reactor
07/30/2010
Apparently when I roll over in my sleep I'll clutch onto the blanket and try to take it with me. My sweetheart will grab hold of it and try to keep me from rolling up in it, which often results in a blanket that is stretched taught, and me grumbling in my sleep. Lol!!

Not so much the blankets (its Texas, for muck's sake!) but I'm a sheet-fighter. If I'm with another sheet-fighter, I usually call a truce by just putting two sheets on the bed. It may seem like I'm closing off the avenue for cuddling, but I'm sure as hell not going to be the one without sheet. Such is the price.
Hahaha... sheet-fighter.

I'm seeing a lot of people just settling for individual covers, and I definitely made that suggestion to him at the beginning of the summer so that we could still spoon without getting really sweaty, but we haven't managed to do that yet. There's still time! lol

I make the bed with two top sheets and two blankets, divided down the middle. We each have our own. We can cuddle together, but sleep without fighting and jerking blankets off each other. It's perfect for us. Heh.

Sigel and I have woken up wrapped up in a battle to the death for the blankets. Arch is like a furnace and in his sleep he will trow all the blankets on me and then snuggle close...leaving me in a wrestling match to get away from the woman eating blankets!
If I get the absolute joy of them in the same bed then I am toasty warm and they each have their own blankets.

I was trying to figure out how the heck to do that without the bed seeming really awkward, do you have step by step instructions? lol
