I watched a bit of the ceremony, mostly just the parade of nations and torch lighting. The musical stuff is just boring to me.

I thought it was pretty awful on the whole, just dull and badly paced. The only good bits were the lighting of the cauldron and the coming together of the olympic rings above the stadium.

I thought it was okay, I preferred the opening for Beijing with the dragons and lights, and I feel that their culture is much more lively for an event of that size. I did enjoy however, seeing the guy who played Gilderoy Lockhart from Harry Potter there. lol
