I am trrying to get motivated in writing again, but I just can't seem to get my ass moving. I look for motivaton in the people around me. My muses so to say. My muse is my son. He weaves these crazy ass stories that just make me feel god smacked at times. I was just wondering who your muse is?
Who is your "Muse"?

Life...I find myself more motivated to write after something bad happens or after overhearing one too many arguments, but then again I also write poetry for the most part.

For writing stories though, I like to turn to my imagination and sort of daydream about what went on thus far in the plot, it flows more naturally in my head that way and helps me get over writers block.
Of course, re-reading some of my favorite spots in books or poems helps a lot too. ^_^

Depends on the project - sometimes it's the actors I imagine as my characters, sometimes it's friends who share the same interest in the subject, sometimes it's a piece of music or song. One novel that I wrote was drawn from all my inspiration here at EF - it acted as therapy for me, no less.

My best friends.

My muses pop up when I'm watching television or movies or reading books- usually the ideas have very little to do with the content I take in!
