Which would be a better kind of world? :):):)

Though I am veryvery (mightymighty) spiritual I always thought that it reeeeeeeeeeeeeally doesn't matter at all what one believes in - the only thing what matters is that people have a "good heart", and then nothing else matters... ^^

Though, as one who believes there is the Almighty, Who is always happy when we think of Him lovinly (Her? ~grins ^^ Many religions say God is both male and female, other religions say that He has a female mate Who is part of Him, one with Him - like Krishna and Radha Rani for example... ^^) - the thought just entertains me a lot to think about:

Would it be a better world if EVERYBODY deeply believed in God (and let's not forget about the dieties who we can call the rest of the "gods", or with other words, demi-gods, devas), but there would still be horrible things in the world - or if NOBODY believed in such things at all, but everything would be most wonderful? ^^

Great discussion topic. That's an interesting question. I personally believe in God and grew up in church, so I've always known that good deeds won't get ya into heaven, but believing in God and asking for forgiveness and to be saved will. Good deeds don't go unnoticed by God, but them alone cannot save a person. That is the way I believe. But it doesn't stop me from being the best, kindest and most forgiving & generous person I can be.

Oh, I always joke saying God must be male or there's no way he'd have given out periods like mine! LOL. It's just a joke though, but I always refer to God as a he, although I have no real opinion on what if any gender "he" may have. lol. I guess it's kind of like animalS. Someone dumped off a mangy little dog at my house last week and I know it's female, but I still call it "he." It's just whatever seems fitting I suppose. Lol.

I combined your options. I think if everybody believed in God and had the same belief it would be a much better place.

Honestly, I think that belief in God has caused more harm than good during the history of civilization.

Man created the premise of God to explain away the unexplainable. Sure, there might be something, but God? But hey, if believing in a God makes everyone act more humanely and sensibly, I'm all for it. Otherwise, get over it.

Considering religion is one of, if not the, biggest causes of death and suffering via human conflict, no. I think we'd be much better off without that crap.
