My partner is waiting for the very same phone. It should arrive soon. Not to hijack this thread but I gotta ask, how is it?

I find it interesting when someone says, "I have an iPhone and that is the only phone I want from now on." The two operating systems are very similar. What is it specifically that you like about the iPhone? What makes the iPhone so desirable to you?

I actually have and love a Windows phone, the Nokia Lumia 520 (cheap and still a huge upgrade from my last one. xD ).
I've never had or thought about having an iPhone though.
Probably should, but since I mostly just use it for texting all of four or so people, games, and casual web browsing...it doesn't really seem like a good investment right now.

My wife had the same experience. She went through three until she got one that was stable. She had a 4s I have a 5s.

I switched from the iPhone 4S to the Samsung S4 and haven't looked back. I will never go back to Apple now. Android & Samsung for life!

I've often wondered about the Android vs the I phone. What's the main diff, advantages and disadvantages of both ? That is if you don't mind taking the time to say.

Well, the main difference is customization options. If you're okay with a company deciding everything about your phone, what apps you have, what the OS is, and so forth (and don't like thinking about changing it), drink the punch and go for an iPhone. If you like having options, even once you've bought your phone, go for an Android. For example, I tried out three different systems for it - the vanilla one, Aviate, and Google Now Launcher, before deciding that I love Google Now Launcher. If I change my mind, I can change it. You can also add widgets and customize your home screen so much more, along with everything on your phone. I like those options, thus I go for Android.

Furthermore, Apple only has iPhones. Android has so many other companies producing phones. I love my Samsung S4 as a phone, and don't feel any envy for iPhone owners. I can take out the battery. I can add a microSD to get almost unlimited storage. etc.
In short, Apple believes that they know what you want, and give it to you. If you want the same things that they think you want, it works out well - nothing to think or worry about. However, if you want more, or at least other things, Android gives you the ability to decide.
I would suggest Apple to people that aren't tech-savvy, though. Less ability to mess up your phone by accident. ; D

I couldn't agree more , although, higher end Android phones with expandable memory are becoming harder to come by these days.

I spend so much time at home, the gym, or biking now days. I don't have much use for a super smartphone. If I did I would do my research. When the day comes, I might go with the lowest cost option. Just a thrifty old sole.
