Hmmm. I'm not exactly an onion fan. I won't go make an extra effort to put onions on something (unless it's potato salad). However, I do like to have some light tasting onions on a cheeseburger or something. I would say I like white the best. The purple/red ones always taste and smell extremely arm-pitty to me. I can handle the red/purple ones that aren't that strong, but mostly I'll stick with white.

Oh, green onions on a salad. Yes, but not a bunch.

White are more mild imo. I love red, but they do bad things to me
