I only use the one on the right, but my boyfriend only uses the one on the left.

I use whichever one is closest to the key I'm pressing it with. I can type without looking at the keyboard though and if I remember correctly they taught us that in the keyboard classes. I also use my pinky to push it; not sure if everyone does that too!

My right "shift" is more worn than my left, so I guess I usually use the right. If it matters, I'm left-handed, use my right pinkie, and taught myself how to type.
