Today is my 1 year anniversary to my wonderful husband. We have been together 3 years in total and want to make this day special. We are dropping our daughter off at my moms and probably going to eat dinner and then catch a movie. He is letting me pick where we eat. I'm so indecisive with which restaurant I wanna go to! Either Red Lobster or Olive Garden. I like both and can't choose. Which restaurant would you rather eat at?
Which restaurant should we go to?

I love Olive Garden, and now they have some nice and yet less expensive choices. I know it is an important anniversary, but it is just food after all!

Olive garden breadsticks are the best! but lobster is a good special date night thing too

I said Red Lobster because I love their food, but I'd probably pick a local non-chain restaurant. I really enjoy Hibachi type restaurants for special events, but they sit you at a table with others and that can be awkward for an anniversary date.

I only go to red lobster during endless shrimp. LOL

Neither, is there a non-chain place you guys can go?

I'm personally not crazy about either of these restaurants. I like local places when we can afford it.
For our anniversary we either get food from a local sushi place or go to Morton's Steak House. It's kinda a chain, but the food is the best anywhere.
For Italian we have a home business family run Tuscan/ Sicilian place near our house. OMG, they are the best when it comes to Italian food. As an Italian myself, I just can't go to Olive Garden. My grandma would spin in her grave.

I could just eat Olive Garden's salad and bread sticks forever. That's what usually ends up happening and I just take my entree home with me to eat the next day.

I would choice Olive Garden but watch out not to eat too much so you can still celebrate your one year later that night
its so hard to stop eating those darn bread sticks! lol

I prefer Olive Garden, but I'm biased because I dislike seafood!

I agree. Eating at one of these two restaurants for a "special" day is like going to the mall for a romantic date. Are any restaurants nearby that have a good Zagat rating? Or any established local favorites or hip new places?
