My wife's very excited, because yesterday, she was shopping at our local Asian grocery store and learned that this season's first fresh mangoes will soon be available. Doesn't excite me much, but still, it's one of the first signs that Spring will soon be here.
How about where you live? What tells you Spring is just around the corner?
Which of these is a sure sign of Spring where you live?

I can tell by the color of my grass.
02/20/2013
Bare legs come out on my college campus
02/20/2013
I, the frugal Scot, finally throw out my Christmas tree.
02/20/2013
Lol! These made me laugh! Here, once the weather hits 45 or 50, it's spring. I'll admit, I'm that local idiot who drives with the windows down when it's 40 degrees.

Hehe, nice post!
02/20/2013
Although nighttime temperature is still around the 30s, my tulip leaves are sprouting.
02/20/2013
The grass is usually a good tell

Snow falling off the roof as it melts
02/20/2013
The robins fight over the tree outside your bedroom window!!

All the girls at the mall and college who think it's acceptable to wear shorts in 40-50 degree weather.

When the snow finally starts to melt is a sure sign for me
02/20/2013
I can smell growing things. It's the best smell.
02/21/2013
Actually being able to see the lawn, regardless of color (though that ain't happening anytime soon since it keeps snowing).

Daffodils. Once they start popping up, I feel confident spring is here. Not that we've never had snow after that, but . . . it never lasts that late in the year! I'm so ready. We moved this fall and our driveway is a 45 degree incline. I can't park my van in the garage because I can't get up the icy/snowy driveway. I'm tired of lugging groceries (and kids!) down that hill!
02/21/2013
I don't pay attention to seasons
02/21/2013
Green grass here

These are hilarious. xD
I guess I just moved to Portland so I dunno. I'd guess the ability to get out of bed in the morning without shaking all the way to the closet is coming soon, that'll be nice.

When it starts getting hot.

When the weather starts fluctuating an extreme amount, that usually means it's spring.

The sun was out yesterday and it was hurting my eyes. I feel like I haven't seen the sun since I visited my mom in Texas in Early November.

EVERYONE starts wearing shorts even though it's barely 5 degrees above the week before.

Green

When it starts getting above freezing. I hate snow, and we have such harsh winters. I should move to Arizona! lol

I omitted 2 (both of which were yesterday): the sound of motorcycles returns; and the time change. It's even warmer today!

Spring tends to come with this really nice set of days where everything is 50-60 degrees, it's super sunny, everyone leaves their front doors open for the first time that year and gardening starts.

...can't go out of the lawn still, though. it's still wet.

It rains a lot here, so it's showers and green!
03/12/2013
Here, the snow finally melts off, the first few itty bitty leaf buds start opening up on our lilac bush. and the grass starts looking a bit less like dead hay.
But a few of these options are absolutely hilarious.

Grilling out or planting some flowers.

I get on my bike!
02/21/2013
Go outside, wear less layers, and start shaving my legs again.
02/22/2013
Venturing out to get the allergy meds is my way XD
02/22/2013
Buying new plant seeds and pregrowing them.
02/22/2013
It's spring when all the college girls stop wearing skinny jeans with uggs and start wearing shorts skirts with uggs. Sounds cynical but I saw at least a dozen short skirt-ugg combos on the bus home today.
03/03/2013
It was Springlike yesterday for the first time; we went for a hike and it was awesome.
03/11/2013
u_u Out of these...the first run to the pharmacy or dollar store for allergy meds. For maybe a couple weeks in early spring and autumn, I get so stuffed up and sneezy that I actually bother buying tissues for a change.
But otherwise, I generally start my 3am walks and try to plant some flowers. =3
The feel of that cool night time breeze against my skin and aroma of the different types gorgeous flowering trees in the neighborhood when it just starts getting tolerably warm is amazing.
