In my area the only thing to scare of is scorpions. I have never seen any giant or scary spiders round here.

I would have picked spiders but I think ticks are the nastiest that I can think of. One of my dogs seems to attract them when he goes outside. I hate pulling them out. Yeeeuuck.

Brown recluse are bad and scary. They can rot your flesh away like a zombie kind of look.

They don't jump much at all. They scurry for the most part and hold their front legs up when they move. It's actually a bit comical to watch.

They are sorta a "ghost story" for American soldiers; they make up all kinds of wold stories about them. I've heard everything from they run 25 mph to that they eat camels. All nonsense.

If camel spiders had any part of my daily life I think I would have a heart attack.

Just general spiders are enough to freak me out. My arachnophobia is pretty intense. Even the thought of desensitization therapy makes me want to cry because it would involve being near spiders. That's the point, toxie. Sigh. Haha

I don't particularly care for arachnids in general, but I voted spiders mostly because they are everywhere, whereas scorpions aren't. I've been stung by a scorpion, not a pleasant feeling. One of the houses I lived in in Texas wasn't infested with them, but they got in very easily. My Mom always told me to shake out my clothes before I put them on, and it just so happened the one day I didn't, a scorpion was hanging out in my shorts. Luckily the scorpions around there weren't very poisonous.
