I was just wondering how/where people do their taxes.
Where/How are you doing your taxes?

I did taxes for the first time this year! (For some reason I was really stoked...) I was able to just use the free version of Turbo Tax online. I both owe no money and am getting no return. Hooray!

I already did my taxes with tax slayer online. I already received my return as well.

Another big fat naught to the government because I have gone yet another year without any sort of employment whatsoever, nor do I own anything except a broken-down old Subaru that caught fire in 2009 and I'm still making payments on it.
The gov is probably wondering if the Doctor came and got me by now.

My dad has always done my taxes for me. He's an accountant and actually likes doing the, Go figure.

The boyfriend's doing it for me again this year. Looking forward to my refund!

Location - I'm sooo not tax savvy!

Too complicated - we take them in and have them done.

I have had a professional (same person) do them for twenty seven years. I tried a few times myself and even with ANOTHER tax professional and SHE always was able to find LEGAL deductions that were lots more. Having a good tax accountant is a HUGE relief in life.

I sure hope your situation and financial luck turn around big time in 2012...but you have to make it happen. It won't come to you....so keep on fighting to make good things happen.

I do mine by myself.

I use turbo tax-Still need to do it
02/09/2012
My husband did them this year, and we used Turbo Tax.
02/09/2012
I've done TurboTax in the past and through a couple of other online providers and haven't had any problems with that so I will probably go the same route this year. This will probably be the least complicated tax season for me in the past couple of years because for once we haven't moved states or worked multiple jobs.

We've used Turbo Tax for several years.

I always do my own with a doo-dad (that being the technical term) like Turbo Tax. I think I might have to pay this year, since this is the first year I've done all freelance writing stuff where taxes aren't taking out in advance without a regular job to back it up. Totally less exciting than when you know you'll be getting a refund!

I go to H&R Block
02/09/2012
My CPA friend does mine for me. Mine are complicated and I'd mess them up trying to do them myself.

I do them myself, but... I had zero taxable income this year so...can't do 'em. I use TurboTax Free (the 1040EZ) and NJ also has a free eFile, too.
02/09/2012
We have an accountant, not from a chain company, though. I can't be trusted to do something that important by myself!
02/09/2012
If I had them to do I would do them thru my mom she works at H&R Block.
02/09/2012
My hubby files taxes I don't since I don't work. He does them online at turbo tax. We are waiting until last minute to do them.
02/09/2012
I normally do them online through a free site that you can find on the irs website.
