Where Do You Like To Shop For Clothes?

Contributor: Wicked Wahine Wicked Wahine
I rely on home shopping channels & online retailers for almost all my purchases except groceries. People ask me how I can buy clothes without first trying them on. It's surprisingly easy once you get the hang of it, but I wouldn't do it if I didn't have features such as no questions asked 30 day returns/exchanges with shipping refunded. I have found the service & quality it so much better than anything I could otherwise afford. (Due to allergies & other sensitivities, I cannot buy used clothes.)

So, where do you shop for clothes?

I don't mind shopping from all kinds of places but when I shop online for clothes it's usually from Forever 21 because their sizing is very accurate for me.

I'll go almost anywhere as long as I have a friend to encourage me along. I really don't like clothes shopping and have a hard time matching things up. Online is out of the question especially with slacks because I'm so tall and some shoes I have to get in a larger or smaller size because of the style.

Now, get me in a computer or hardware store and I could spend hours there!

I hardly ever buy clothing.

I buy my quality dress clothing from a high end store, my quirky/fun clothing from local boutiques ad the balance from Goodwill/Thrift stores/yard sales. I love getting a bargain and women sell almost new clothing frequently!!!

I mostly frequent thrift stores, but will sometimes order shirts online, or buy from places like Target. I can't stomach spending lots of money on clothing :T

I sometimes pick things up online, but it's usually only if I have tried the item on in person and know it will fit.

I only get used clothes, because I can't afford the quality of clothes I like when they are new! I am a texture nerd, and LOVE soft, worn-in clothes.

I get them second hand however... Thrift store, yard sale, Goodwill, online used clothing sites, ebay, that kind of thing. Dumpster diving is also a big one. I don't really like buying new clothes unless I absolutely have to.

Thrift stores, TJ Maxx, Etsy, Ebay... I like looking online a lot. It seems to be the only place I can find things I like anymore.

I'm not too picky on which store, as long as I like the clothing. I tend to order most clothing online though.

I voted:
Thrift stores - have found some of my best stuff there
Garage sales - I find good stuff sometimes I'm disappointed if I go hunting primarily for clothes
The Mall- lots of different stores there
TJ Maxx/Marshalls- MY FAVORITE EVER. I buy so much stuff here. I bought the dress and silk jacket I showed you there
Local stores- there are lots of cute stores in our downtown and a really nice fancy lingerie store
online- storenvy, ebay, threadless for t-shirts

I shop at the mall a lot (H&M, Forever21, Maurices)..

but I also love ordering online from ModCloth, and other stores like that.

I like shopping where I can get the most for my money, but that's not always easy for a BBW (and our Old Navy always seems to be out of my size). HOWEVER, I'm a bra snob. So that often means relying on Lane Bryant. I'm losing weight and hope to eventually be able to shop in stores that don't cater to BBW! :-P

I shop exclusively at thrift stores for clothing, though there are certain brands I much prefer & gravitate towards when I see the tag--mostly Gap, Target, & Express.

Khols, Old Navy, JC Penny, Deb are the main ones. I've been buying a lot of shirts online lately, specifically from eBay as I'm wanting musician/band and TV show themed tops .

Mainly Ross; they're one of the few places around here that I can find clothes that fit well.

The majority of my shopping is done online, since going to places like the mall tend to give me a lot of anxiety. Luckily my favorite places like forever21+ have a better selection online than in store. If i had the extra money, i like to go to places like target, wlamart or kholes, but i often get really frustrated/depressed if i cant find something that fits well. Theres a couple times a year my father will take me shopping where we go to the only close mall (45 minutes out of town) with a foreve21 that carries the plus size line and i'll get a few items there - but their in store selection is really awful and small in comparison to the actual size of the store (even smaller than the mens and children's section). I also shop at places that dont have a physical store, like onestopplus and modcloth.

I usually shop low-end. I just can't justify spending a lot of money on myself for clothes.

I love thrift stores and get lots of my clothing there, but there's definitely something to be said for going to the mall, if only to window shop.
