We shop at Hy-Vee for the most part, which is a store local to this part of the midwest. But we actually get most of our own produce and some other things from either our own garden, farmer's market, and CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) farm during the growing season. Sometimes we'll take a trip to go visit a co-op that we like if we want to plan a fancier meal with better ingredients.

I shop at Walmart and Kroger's.

Staters! Man, do I love their meat department.
03/20/2012
We have a Weis and a Giant in our area. Weis for decent prices, Giant for better products.
03/20/2012
Walmart and kroger
03/20/2012
Either Albertsons or Smiths.
03/20/2012
Northern- a division of the Northwest Company.
03/20/2012
Walmart and Aldi's.
03/20/2012
I try to stay away from large chain companies as much as possible. They ruin everything.

When I am down south, Ocean Beach People's Organic Food Co-op, When I am here, we shop at many stores: Jon's, Sprouts, Trader Joes, or Mother's. We only go to regular stores (Target, Vons, Albertons) for really basic things like bottled water because these stores don't tend to carry what I'm looking for.
03/20/2012
Safeway, Fred Meyers and a large Asian market.
03/20/2012
Krogers for meat and produce and Wal-Mart for everything else.

When I lived in PA, I did all of my shopping at Giant Eagle. Now that I'm in IN, I mostly go to Meijer. Sometimes I go to Kroger if I need to make a quick trip.

I shop at walmart, giant eagle, marcs and mazzulos for meat.
03/21/2012
I think this is pretty limited considering how much grocery stores vary by location. I've never lived near a Staterbrothers, Albertsons, Ralphs or Safeway. I've lived in both the greater-Boston and greater-NYC area, and even between those places (which aren't very far apart, considering the size of the entire US), the grocery chain store options are pretty different.

I shop at Wal-mart mostly and a little bit from Kroeger, and a little bit from the family owned store in town.
03/21/2012
depends on what we need at the moment, most things from walmart but a lot of the foods from a grocery store.

Walmart or Target. Target usually has better produce and I like the store better.
03/23/2012
Unfortunately, Wal-Mart. I hate shopping so I like to get it over with at one place.
03/23/2012
I couldn't say if it goes by other names that might be on the list but because my mother's boyfriend is picky as hell we tend to buy nearly all of our groceries at Stop n' Shop.
03/23/2012
walmart, along with many others in my area.

03/23/2012
Walmart and target usually for groceries. It's usually whatever ends up being closest though.
03/24/2012
Meijers and Trader Joes
03/24/2012
Wal-Mart if going for major food supplies or otherwise our local family owned store.
03/24/2012
I avoid walmart but do go about every 3 months or so for cleaning supplies and tp. I shop at locally owned and operated stores as much as possible.
03/24/2012
You listed a bunch of local grocery stores that a bunch of people have probably never heard of.
03/24/2012
walmart and some local shops
03/24/2012
Trader Joe's and whole foods if I need something really organic.
03/24/2012
Local Produce market is where I shop the most.
03/24/2012
I used to shop in Trader Joe's and Whole Foods when I lived in California. I can't find anything like that where I am now... so I shop at Walmart and Aldi's.
03/24/2012
Any where but Walmart. We haven't been there in months. We go to Save A Lot, Aldi's, Marcs, Target, Giant Eagle, and many more places.
03/27/2012
i hate that i shop at walmart but the prices are too good. we do foodlion bout once a month too.
03/27/2012
at a local grocery store
03/27/2012
Fred Meyer (I believe they go by Kroeger in the Mid-east and East coast).
03/27/2012
I try to stay away from Walmarts as much as possible. Kroger or Reasor's normally.
03/27/2012
The crazy international market near out apartment! It's fun to go somewhere where I can find the Colombian stuff my family eats and all the Asian foods my mate and I's college room-mates gave us a taste for. ^_^
03/27/2012
PUBLIX. That chain is the bomb.
03/27/2012
Trader Joe's
04/06/2012
Trader Joe's and local stores only. I don't even remember the last time I went into a chain supermarket.
04/06/2012
Whole Foods. I'll shop here and there at Trader Joe's for a few things that are cheaper and I can't find at WF.
04/06/2012
Kroger and Aldi... or wherever there's a good sale!
04/07/2012
COSTCO! And any other grocery store with low prices!

I don't grocery shop at Target, but I like to get other things there. I switch around between My Organic Market, Trader Joe's, Costco, Safeway, Food Lion, and a few other places depending on what I need.

Walmart, unfortunately.
12/05/2012
I actually shop at three different places. There's a great market in my area that has really cheap produce, and then Whole Foods for somethings and then a local grocery store as well.
12/05/2012
Kroger.
