Just down the road, or across the globe? Where are you going to relax and recreate over the coming months?
Where are you vacationing this year?

Friends and family usually come to visit us for their vacations, so we haven't had a legitimate vacation in a few years. This year during July, we're going to the southern Oregon Coast and then down to the redwoods of northern California. I've been each place before quite a bit, but my wife and kids haven't.
I also am going on a half dozen week-long photography trips this year. I don't necessary consider them vacations since they are work for me, although I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy them. However, for most people, the idea of driving around beautiful areas and taking photos sure sounds like a vacation to them. I'll be going to eastern Washington and southern British Columbia during April, southern Idaho and southeast Oregon during May, Vancouver Island and adjacent mainland British Columbia during June, the Oregon Cascades during August, the Canadian Rockies during September, and the Washington Cascades during October.

I just cannot convince myself that a road trip from Florida to Montana and back is any sort of vacation, mainly because I am going up there in May to get the rest of my personal belongings out of storage. Then the really fun part of dividing things up with my ex-husband begins. XP
No real plans for any real trips/vacations this year as money is too tight for anything other than the chore I just mentioned.

Buffy and Muffy and I are going to Santa Monica where we'll lay out in the sun all day tanning our skin into leather while the boys bring us drinks. Like you know, it'll be so fun!
Vacation? I don't even know what that word means. If I'm lucky I'll be heading out of state with the hubby on a business trip and if the heavens part and someone drops some cash in our laps, we might make it out to Chicago or Phoenix.

My birthday is two days before Valentine's day and my husband surprised me with a cruise in May! We have been married for three years and haven't had a honeymoon yet! It is our first real vacation together so I'm pretty excited. Anyone ever been on a cruise? How was the experience?

At home. We bought a house last July and any time off we have is going to be spent doing projects.
