I may barely eat for a while. IF it's something big I'm down about I may not eat for a fwe days or just eat a small meal right before work so I dont get dizzy. It depends. I'm down I had 1 piece of chicken today and lots of water

My appetite goes away when I'm stressed. I don't need to be depressed for that to happen.

I noticed at one place I worked that during a time when a layoff was coming that some people became torrents of job seeking activity while others, even those who were the sole supporters for their family, became immobilized. Maybe this is too far off-topic, but I wonder whether there's a correlation between change in activity level with extreme stress and change in appetite.

When Im at my worst I dont eat much because I dont leave bed. I dont go online, I dont watch tv. I lay in bed and usually sleep. That is all I do period when Im having a really low peak. When Im having a manic episode I run around eat a lot, do a billion things some good some bad. If Im coasting waiting for the storm to hit either way Im normal eat regular. Being bipolar isnt fun, and I wouldnt wish depression in any form on my worst enemy.

I think DEFINENTLY. A change in your life you arent liking can definently affect your mood and what you feel like doing. SOme people eat more too feel satisfied and happy and some just dont want to focus on things they have to do because they dont feel like it. I know Its a huge drag to make myself go to work now. I dont talk to people unless they talk to me except things like excuse me or thank you. All I want to do is plug my ipod in my ear it helps with the emotional pain and so does talking to God. I "talk in my head" as I listen to the music.

Now that u broght that up i want to do a google search about depression and eating

I've always kinda been a bit backwards! I generally end up eating too much when I'm happy because I am usually going out and playing in and out of bed, so I work up an appetite! Otherwise, when I get down in the dumps I just feel like hiding away from the world and wallowing in my own lonely misery.

I get depressed of and on and already have a panic/anxiety issue so I tend to not be able to eat as much. Nerves + depression + me = decreased appetite for sure.

It depends. If I feel really low cause of something I have done to cause an issue with Master, I will starve myself for 2 - 3 days until I'm totally over it.

If things just aren't going right with anything I am doing throughout the day, I'll want comfort chocolate.

I always cook much more, because that's relaxing for me---and often in the form of desserts. But I don't let myself eat extra calories just because I'm depressed/stressed/anx ious, so usually my neighbors wind up with a few dozen cookies and a couple of cheesecakes before I straighten my mood out.

I tend to withdraw from eating; I have to force myself to eat when I'm feeling either depressed. When I'm stressed, I get so nervous that I can only consume a couple bites of food, even if i'm starving. luckily that only happens once in a blue moon (read: finals time )

I can't eat if I'm upset, depressed or have anxiety. I'm one of those people who get paralyzed when depressed, I just sit and can't start anything. So, it's probably better that I'm not eating then.

If I'm actually getting depressed, I don't stop eating entirely, but I do generally have to force feed myself. Now that I think about it, that's also what I end up doing most of the time. I can feel that I'm hungry, I just have no desire to eat. If there's food in front of me I'll usually eat it, but otherwise I just keep finding small things to tide me over for a little while. It's the same when I'm depressed. I'll spend a lot of time in bed watching TV or movies, get up to use the bathroom, and maybe get enough to eat to not feel nauseous anymore.

It depends...sometimes it seems like I just can't eat enough, while other times I don't want to eat at all! I don't get truly "depressed" though, just have days when "life sucks" just a little too much...but that's why Cheesecake and the indoor oven were invented.

well Its almost 1:30 pm and I still havent ate. I hate a little before bedtime yesterday. I have 2 pieces of chicken in the oven I'm not sure if I will eat or not maybe I will just put a piece in a container to take to work in case I get too nasous and have to force feed myself on my break. I might eat 1 piece before work...

yea..I really force myself not to be paralyzed. I rEALLy force myself to work lately. I can have tears pouring out and barely see and Im forcing myself to move.

if i'm in the process of eating and get sad over something i immediately lose my appetite. i don't eat when depressed but one tiny pathetic half assed meal a day, if that.

if i'm real depressed honestly i think part of me wants to starve myself to death. yeah i know this is unhealthy.

i've recently gotten on anti depressants and am seeing a counselor. so.

Since Im already depressed and dont feel like eating enough. I think its a good time to eat 1 small meal a day until my stomache settles down my ibs is severe. I also think its a good time to eat 1 small meal a day so next weekI can fit a size 3 pants and look super hot in them. I treated myself to 2 new pairs of black dress pants for work,a necklace and bracelets. We were just given a new friday work shirt. I can wear that shirt with jeans on Fridays so I want to fit an awsome pair of jeans I own that are tight on me. I hope the shirt shrinks a little in the dryer I will turn it on High the first time I wash it LOL. I had 2 handfuls of chips today and 2 slices of salami meat..Im eating 1 piece of chicken later thats it. Shame on me eating the chips though!

I feel like a pig today.

Hopefully in a few hours I will feel good enough to burn some energy on cleaning and washing dishes. I'm off today and I won't see my now EX boyfriend at work again until saturday I spy and evesdrop some since he is one of my managers

sweetheart! i'm worried about you. this doesn't sound healthy.

my honest deep advice is to smoke some weed. if you can! that's the only thing i know that ups your appetite. and fitting into size 3 jeans is not something women who aren't just naturally that teeny tiny should try to do. size 3 jeans i wore when i was like... 14. before i had any hips. i'm 5 foot 6, 125 pounds and wear size 5 or 7, usually size 7. there's nothing wrong with that. trying to fit into teeny tiny barely adult sized jeans is just really impractical, not to mention unhealthy. why do you want to be so little?

i'm sure you'd look hotter in your natural size. healthy is always sexy. always!!

and so is a LITTLE bit of meat on your bones! at least! i bet you'd look hotter in size 5 or 7 than childsized 3 pants. really.

and please dont shame yourself for eating! i was saying i eat less when depressed because i have no appetite... but if i am able to eat i do feel better, and healthier. anyone in size 5 pants... or even size 16 if that's their natural healthy weight, could never be a 'pig.'

honestly i personally eat all the fuck i want when i feel the gumption to and never shame myself unless i feel a bit sick. then i just eat some tums and try not to eat so much damn delicious food next time. no shame in it.



i hope for you that you can see yourself as beautiful when you are healthiest and treat yourself to a healthy lifestyle. you certainly deserve it. everyone does.
