When reading reviews...

Contributor: Miss Anonymous Miss Anonymous
I was reading reviews and I started wondering... I'm not trying to point anyone out or anything, but have you ever came across a review and read it, and thought "there is NO way this person owns this toy, or has even seen it in person"?

I've came across reviews about items that I personally own, and the information provided is NOTHING like the item, or just seems to be a photo-copy of the product page?

Am I the only one?

Usually the editors are supposed to report these, I have a few times. If one slipped through, it would probably be best to report this to sammi@edenfantasys.com . Before reporting it though, make certain that it is a copy of the product page and not simply a poorly written review. Sometimes people aren't plagiarizers, they just don't understand proper writing and citation styles.

Yep I have. I reported it, but it would be so hard to prove. And I think it is EF's policy to give folks the benefit of doubt. Which I think is a good thing overall. So you're not the only one. I was told to email JR with the link and why you feel it's not a legit review.

I've never really paid attention to that. I guess it's because, I tend to mainly read reviews about products I don't own, nor tried. I'm glad you brought this up because, I can now watch for this while reading. I want to read honest, tried, and true reviews.

I've seen a few, and the best thing to do in that case is report it to Sammi or JR.

No, nothing too overt yet. I am a little suspicious of the super short ones sometimes.

I've found a few that had copied sections from the DR on the product page so I emailed Gary and told the contributors name, the date the review was "written", and the product name.

Its not right that people do that but it doesn't completely surprise me. If I found a review I questioned Id pay even more attention and research it and if I was certain in my mind about it I would report it
