When I have lost someone in my life - God has replaced them with someone better. My marriage ended and I reunited with my high school girlfriend. It took me a while to let go of my ex but now I see it was all for the best.

I do believe that when one door closes, you are able to see all the other opportunities.

I divorced at about 24 - but didn't remarry until I was 35. During that 10 year span many doors opened and closed - I consider this normal, although I do not look forward to the next step...
In my work life the same has been true - and working on opening that new door, since the last one closed a few months ago. I hated the old job - so I'm pretty sure what I do next will be better - but there are no guarantees.

I have heard & and for the most part, it has been true for me. I wouldn't say the new doors were ever negative ones, that I can remember.

I've heard it, but I don't necessarily believe that.

I think it's usually true, or maybe I should simply say that it's almost always been true in my experience.
It's easy to miss opportunities when we're satisfied and not looking for them. When we have reason to look again, we see what we missed before. Unfortunately, sometimes the needed opportunity is NOT there. But usually, something will appear, and it can seem like magic, or divine providence, or whatever. But really, I believe it's just what happens when we pay attention.

I believe in it, because it's happened to me quite a bit. You do have to go out looking for the doors, since they won't always be obvious

Sometimes, when one door closes.. there isn't another door, but you have to be willing to pick up that spoon and dig a big enough hole in the wall to get out.

I completely agree with what you said about the difference being whether or not we are looking or paying attention! When there are no viable prospects, then I agree with Chilipepper or MrWill, you have to start thinking in an unexpected, out of the box way, (sneaking through the window), or try to make your own opportunity, (digging with the spoon).

I truly believe this though even though I look forward to change, I'm also apprehensive about it when it does happen. The old two steps forward, one step back saying.

Sometimes true...yes.

Always a way. Don't let life get you down. The devils of this world will tell you all sorts of troubling lies. You are in charge of your lifes journey. Rely on faith in God, in your spouse, and in yourself. You are equipped for whatever life throws at you.
