When you decide that the risk to yourself or potential child is too great. This includes the risk of you dying before the child is a self-supporting adult.

It's possible to have someone else be a support system in that case, but you have to think long and hard about leaving the child without one or possibly both parents.

I like the way Chirple put it. Just remember it's not just about what age to give birth, you have to consider the years AFTER. And, do you have enough energy to take care of a young child, when you're past 40 or so.

I agree with the first person - when it is medically impossible. But I also think it's not a good idea if you will be too old to take care of the child once he/she has grown.

pretty much if you're body isn't gonna be able to safely deliver due to age, or that you won't be able to take them out to do kid things (run, play, games, dances, etc.) due to age and age related issue, you're too old!

In reality they're taking from the kid by not being able to keep up, so they shouldn't even go there.

i'll try to do it before age 30, since after that age one's risk of cancers increase if one hasn't given birth.
