When did you first get online? The very first time ever? I know for myself it was at computer camp when I was a child and we got online (such as it was) in 1985. I've only ever encountered a couple people who were online that early. Of course, on a regular basis it was 1996 for me!

I remember playing wheel of fortune online back in the 80's. We had this keyboard that hooked up to the phone and logged into some system or other when you had a choice of Jeopardy or Wheel to play. Regular basis,around 1990. Yay prodigy! I still remember my id jjkk38a haha how crazy is that?

I wanna say around 97, when we got our first desktop at home and my mom let me use the AOL. I didn't start using it regularly until middle school (2001) though.
On a side note, I hated the AOL dial up tones. xD

I don't remember. I know I was younger than 7 because I remember my dad using it at our first house we lived in and hearing that scary dial up noise. So it was probably 1993 or earlier.

That being said, I don't remember a time in my life where I didn't have internet access or a computer.

My best friend got a computer in 1995 and I found it fascinating that I could talk to strangers. I was a bit of a technophobe at that point. It was eBay that got me hooked to the web

1998 or 1999 i remember it was aol. had dial up when would sign on it would say you got mail! i remember the sound it made when i received an instant massage it was so cool! brings back memories lol
