Any tent light enough to carry on a pack! I like camping, but I like the hiking to a place to camp part best. =)

Love camping, especially with a tent.

If the weather is good I'll go out in a hammock. They are super comfortable and peaceful.

in a tent. we only go camping in the summer time, so the tent works out great.

Tents, sleeping bags, and fires basically like a poorly conceived commercial.

Coming from a person that lives in a more rural area and actually spending time in the woods it really isn't camping with a camper. Especially with the types of campers they have now and the ability to have satellite television in them.

Adirondack camping is nice, feels more secure than a tent. But to be honest, I'm not into camping. I'll stay in a cabin and still enjoy the hiking and outside cooking, but not really enough the entire outside stuff.

Back before kids we always used a tent. I have a five man 1951 GP medium military tent, it takes about an hour to set up but will keep us warm during a snow storm (ya it has snowed in July in Colorado) with just a white fuel lantern. Love that tent!

As the family grew, two kids and three dogs, we switched to a camper. Makes life so much easier. Plus, it only takes about 10 minutes to set up and when it's time to leave we can leave the mess until we get home.

We never go to established camp grounds but rather we like to go where no one else is for the peace and quiet. This takes a four wheel drive which is part of our camping experience.

We love camping with tents and sleeping bags although recently we invested in a nice air mattress, our backs can't take the hard ground anymore. We have a potty tent for the little guy but us grown-ups use a makeshift "toilet" we build in the woods. We also wash in the cold ass creek if need be lol. Eventually we'd like to get a pop-up camper mainly just for the sleeping space.

I was spoiled with camping growing up. Everyone I knew had a camp trailer or fifth wheel. My hubby grew up in a tent family. It took some major adjusting on my part, but I can rough it when necessary.

Nope. No camping. That's what hotels are for. I'm allergic to almost everything under the sun, so camping would be dangerous for me.

My partners and I go tent camping, and love it. However, my dad has a toy trailer (the type he can drive his motorcycles or Rhino into as well as sleep, etc.) and when I go camping with him, that's what we go in! I like that for loooong roadtrips, too.

Giant family tent usually so there's at least enough room to walk around a little bit.

I can't stand tent camping! I went a lot as a child with my family and on field trips in elementary school, but I just can't relax without a city noise background the crickets etc make me really jumpy and I find it difficult to sleep. I think that if I had a camper it would be more enjoyable, because I really do like exploring and cooking outdoors, but for now I'll stay at home.
