If you moved from where you live right now to an unknown place, what would you miss the most? Local restaurant? Weather? Neighbor? Etc
What would miss if you moved?

I guess it would depend on where I ended up, but something that I really enjoy about where I live is having 4 definitive seasons.

Nothing. I had to move back home to Florida and I hate it.
I plan on kidnapping two of my friends to move with me to Boston or Montana or someplace else away from here (although they are trying to convince me to buy a house here when I get my career together; I love them, but not that much).

My Mom! She lives down the street from me and it's part of the reason I stay in ATL.

We did this not to long ago. We moved from a pretty big city to a small one.
Things I miss:
1. Dear friends that I have known forever. Even though there is always the phone, it's just not the same.
2. Knowing where stuff is, like specialty/parts stores.
3. Breakfast with my dad. We had breakfast every Saturday for about 28 years. It was our way of getting together and chatting about the week. Great bonding for father and son.
Things I don't miss:
1. Traffic jams.
2. Nasty people
3. Pollution.
4. Mom "Popping" in when ever.
5. Neighbor's house ten feet away.
It was a big adjustment but we are much happier where we are now.

My friends. I've actually done that before, and that was the only thing I missed.

My family. That would probably be it.

I'd miss a diverse active city full of culture and interesting dining. I could find that in other cities but I also like the mild weather.

Guess it depends what the new place doesn't have. I would like it better if it had alot of nice scenery and recreation things. this town I live in now is boring and ugly and shopping is quite limited. Guess I would miss certain people most.

We've done this not long ago as well!
I really hate that I don't know where things are and that I am isolated. I have no contacts here and it is harder to find a job without any contacts.
I miss my favorite tea shop, they sold the best tea, including the same tea I purchased on the west coast and couldn't find anywhere but that store. Now I have to find a new store and hope they have great tea at a good price.

I would miss friends and knowing where everything is and how to get to it. It always takes me a while to acclimate myself to a new town.

Being able to go to concerts whenever.

The scenery. I know, if you've seen one hill you've seen them all, but they're my hills! I love being able to point to one and know what it's called, know it's history. Looking at the windmills and know that even though I know where the windmill is, I'll still be lost.

If I was still in the pacific northwest, I would be fine.
