Mine was "quit_horsin_around" back in the day. I lived on a farm, had a long braid (or horse tail) and could kick like a mule, which earned me the very flattering nickname of "Horse." One of my exceptionally clever classmates used to tell me to quit horsing around whenever we got into an argument, and that was where the email was born. Well, that and a love of underscores.
What was your first email account?

I don't remember exactly. It was in the late 80s, at my university. They were encouraging us to check out this thing called "email", which seemed utterly useless to me at the time. IIRC, my email address consisted of a randomly-generated series of letters and numbers.
4 years later, I wasn't in school anymore, but still living in the same university town. Now I had a girlfriend almost 1000 miles away (who had an email address) and I finally had a reason to use my email address — but I couldn't remember it. I visited the computer science lab and they gave me a new one. It was pretty boring: my college nickname. That was the first email address I actually USED.

My first is still my online cognomen (14 years now), although I've changed email providers a few times.

Oh my gosh, I just nostalgia'ed hard about those AOL discs/floppies that they sent out back in the 90's.

Mine was back in the day, before AOL popularized customized email addresses. My email address was a randomly generated combination of numbers and letters. It was like n2jk34jk32@prodigy.net or something. I was just a child.

Something with my name on MSN. I can't even remember, but it had a LOT of numbers after it since my name was taken.

Oh my gosh - that would have been awful to have to remember as a kid! I guess that if it was paired with a randomly generated password, your security would at least be pretty high.

My father has always been a tech-geek, so he set up his own server named after the boat he and his crew used for scuba diving. When my two brothers and I were old enough to read, he set up emails for us. Mine was jade@therampage.com.

It was beachxblondie or something....when my hair was blonde and mermaid-like.

I had a bunch of AOL screen names. DazedDaisy, TatteredDaisy, LaughingDaisy and a handful of others, all with some number after that represented my age or some such.

Was the first letter of my first name, my last name, and a string of numbers at my college.
Remember those compuserve ones that were like 15 random numbers? Oh my!
