What type of flooring would you put in your house?

Contributor: Rod Ronald Rod Ronald
We are getting a new house and we need to put all new flooring in. My wife wanted hardwood, but the price tag gave her sticker shock and now the ideas are flowing in like a rampant rabbit.
If you had to choose, what flooring would you put in your home?

Constructive discussions on Cock rings:

Has anyone ever lost cock rings in their vaginas?
In 2008 I found out I was pregnant and when I went in for my first ob appt the dr said oh my you have something up there...I for the life of me...

Which ring feels best?
Which ring feels the best for a male and which for a female? Just your own personal experiences, I know it's different for everyone.

Have you ever taken pictures during sex?
Have you ever taken pictures of yourself while having sex? What was it like and which of you initiated this?

Should a cock ring be painful?
Whenever we have used our rabbit with a cockring my husband complains it is painful. Is this normal or should we try finding a different one?

Sex life changes during pregnancy
My wife is pregnant for the first time, and I was wondering what kind of changes our sex life might have. I'm really interested in what is in store..

If you're planning to have pets, go with hardwood floors, much easier to clean than carpet.

Hardwood (or maybe some recycled bamboo flooring, something a bit more environmentally friendly) in most of the rooms (if I had the budget for it).
I think I'd use tile (ceramic or other similar material, not peel&stick) in the bathroom, and maybe carpet in the bedrooms.

Carpet is nice and all, but hard wood looks so much better.

Oh...and I'd avoid lamination or whatever it's called like the freaking plague. That stuff is a pain in the ass to clean, we have it in the bathroom (though I think it's like 40 years old) and it got all sandy like and pasty when I tried scrubbing it clean with nothing but water. -_-

Carpet, it's much nicer to walk on barefoot, plus I'd rather vacuum a carpet than constantly be sweeping a hard floor.

Hardwood don't get carpet. Hardwood is easier to clean and looks way way classier!! And it's better for people with allergies

I voted for hardwood. Keep in mind that a good quality hardwood floor should last longer than carpet, so keep that in mind when you're looking at the cost.

For a 2-story house, I would like carpet upstairs & hardwood/stone
type downstairs. Bedrooms feel better with something soft underneath
your feet...

It varys by room but I would say hardwood if I had to pick just one type.

Hardwood may be somewhat easier to clean and better looking but I much prefer carpet. I'm always barefoot in my house and I hate cold floors. Plus, carpet tends to muffle noise whereas hardwood only makes it echo more.

Consider this: When housecleaning, would you rather vacuum debris, dust mop, and then hardwood floor clean, or would you rather simply vacuum and be done cleaning the floor?

I love both. I would go for hardwood or tile in the living areas and carpet in the bedrooms. I currently have carpet in the bedrooms, hallway, and living room and can't stand it. They are heavy traffic areas and very hard to clean thoroughly! Tile is more durable and easier to maintain but hardwood is beautiful.
