Comics from different places have different themes and trends, and some have aspects completely unique to that region. Which types of comics do you prefer?

I'm not into comics.

Comics aren't really my thing, but I make an exception for some of the Japanese manga.

I like Pearls Before Swine.

Japanese and American comics; although I don't really buy Japanese due to the steep price tag when I can read scans online for free.
I do love my American comics though ;-; Although I am picky about what I read and usually only read things in the DC Universe; mostly just Batman as well. But I do have a couple of Sandman comics I read every now and then they are rather hard to come by for decent price in the hardback. Everything is paper now that they've been out for a while >.< unless you have about 200$ to drop... which I don't xD

I love them all, although my favorite comic author is British, so I guess we can say I'm biased towards the European.

Manga and some current marvel titles that I can find as scans, oh and Walking Dead by image.

I don't really read comics. Don't have time for them. But, I used to read a lot of online comics drawn by American artists.

I really enjoy Japanese manga.

I don't have a large preference. I like them all if they're good.

When it comes to American comics, I tend to love the superhero comics. Ultimate Spiderman is one of my all-time favorite series (the Death of Spiderman thing was sad as hell) and Marvel Civil War was an awesome event. Although, I normally don't like anything from DC, the new 52 has been pretty cool; primarily for Batman titles.
When it comes to manga, I tend to do horror/drama mixes, like Kimi no Knife.

IF I was into comics, it would be superhero comics.

I don't really know what category stuff like Bleach and Naruto would fall into.
04/11/2012
Shounen manga and hero comics, but obviously there are some really good shoujo. Also Bleach and Naruto are both in the Shounen category

Romance and comedy. Autobiographical comics always seem interesting, but I've yet to read one.

Wait, I voted Japanese and European comics, but I also like chinese ones and missed "other asian comics". :/
I like comics where characters are having similar problems as mines and I also like erotic comics

Even comics within the same region and genre can vary greatly depending on the format. Which sorts do you most enjoy reading?

Hardcovers, because the material quality seems better and I just generally like such better in terms of appearance and feel.

comic strips.
04/11/2012
Hardcover or soft, or even web are all good - as long as there's enough space to tell a decent story I'm happy. (strips strike me as too short for purposeful storytelling, although they're great for comedic value).
04/11/2012
Webcomics and scans I suppose but if I were to collect I usually pick up trade paperbacks.

These days I don't read nearly as many comics as I used to, but I tend to like North American comics in graphic novel series format. I also have a small collection of manga, which I also really enjoy. Mostly I read webcomics these days, though, as I have other things to spend my money on, heh.
