What type of car ( transmission) do you drive?

Contributor: Trysexual Trysexual
I've never owned anything but a manual stick shift. Much more fun to drive and gives you more control (esp in bad weather). Can be a pain in the city though, so I know they aren't for everyone.

I drive automatic only. My husband just bought a manual, but that's the kind of transmission he learned to drive on, so no issue.

When given a choice I always prefer the control of stick.

I've always had automatic. Only sticks I know how to drive is the ones in one's pants. Haha. I should probably learn though.

I learned to drive on a stick but my car is an automatic. I live deep in the big city and it's a lot more convenient to drive an automatic. My partner wants to get a manual for our next car, even though he doesn't know how to drive a stick really.

Automatic. As it is I drive with two feet (one on the gas and one on the brake), so I'd need a third if I were to drive a manual.

Automatic. My mom tried to teach me how to drive a stick in a jeep. The clutch hurt my foot really bad, though

I sold my last stick-shift (300ZX) about 10 years ago - I'll probably never get another - but who knows, maybe for old time sake.
