What to do with old underwear?

I'm doing a big purge of my house. I used to sell my worn panties to panty fetishists, but now that I am back in college, I have decided to give that up forever. I have a surplus of underwear. I know that a lot of underwear in college is good because it allows one to go without doing laundry for a long time, but I truly have too much.

I feel slightly embarrassed giving it to a thrift shop. What would you do in my situation?

I also have a lot of socks, but I know that those can be made into puppets.

You could cut them all into perfect squares, sew them together, sew an inner lining to give it substance and then stuff with poly-fill to make pillows!

That's a great idea!

Making a quilt out of the cut up squares works too. And you can even make bags out of small quilted sections!

I would keep out the amount I needed and put the extras away in a box. Then I'd wear the ones I had out until they wore out, and replace them as needed from the box. This is assuming you have enough room to stash a box somewhere. If the underwear are in good, wearable condition I'd hate to get rid of them, then have to buy new ones in the future.

It never occurred to me to sell my old underwear to fetishists, where would one even do that? Are there sites online that do the swap?

It's a lot more involved than that. Most people want them to be recently worn and in most cases, they also want them personally delivered. It's a serious hassle.

Not only do I throw them out, but I am always thinking about someone, somewhere, seeing my trash so I try to bury them or hide them! So weird - I know!

I'm terrible at throwing clothes out. I don't keep them for sentimental reasons, but just because I shove them to the back of the drawer. I've some old underwear that don't fit any more, and some really hole-y ones that should have been thrown out ages ago. I, er, still wear them...
