What style of bed do you have, or want?

Contributor: Mr. John Mr. John
So many different styles of beds available today. I've seen standard foam, memory foam, multi density foam, air mattresses, coil mattresses, pillow tops, and the once popular waterbed. I get a headache just thinking about it. Oh, and what about the pricing for some of these beds. It's like purchasing a car.

So, what type of bed do you have? Are you looking to buy something different, if so, what? What is your criteria or reason for that type of bed? Do you prefer a lot of room, such as a king, or something cozier? If space is a problem, then what about a Murphy bed? So, many variables for choosing.

We have a queen size pillow top mattress and we like it. It's one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on--supportive while not being too hard or soft. The only thing I would change is I'd like a king--I like a lot of room when I sleep and there is hardly any left over with the two of us in there.

we have a king pillow top. Have had it for 13 years, and it still feels great when you climb into bed. Soft and forgiving.

I have some kind of mattress... yup, it's a mattress alright! xD I have no idea what I have, all I know is that its soft, yet still has great support for my back, and it's a twin.

Queen size memory foam mattress. It's been a godsend with my bad back.

I have the same as Lildrummer, the Queen size memory foam mattress. My box spring started falling apart a few months after I started paying for it. Once replaced it was fine, now something else is going on with it lol.

We've got a queen size pillow top. It is very comfortable, although I would consider getting a memory foam mattress when this one is ready to be replaced.

I have a queen size mattress and a nice sleigh bed frame. I don't know what type of mattress it is but I would like a pillow top or memory foam at one point. My mattress is comfortable though.

Queen size pillow top. It's just on a regular bed frame but I would love a head board.

I have just a regular ol queen size pillow top bed. I want one of those wood and wrought iron headboard and footboards to put on it though. Right now it's just on a standard frame.

I currently have a full sized pillow-top mattress with back support. At first i LOVED it, but after a few years and realizing i can only turn my mattress opposed to flipping it, the middle of my bed has caved it some and makes it uncomfortable for me to sleep now. While it's much more comfortable than my partners coil mattress, and less hot than my memory foam bed i had years before, i've become a little disappointed with my purchase.
I still have an unreasonable fear of things living under my bed (actually dinosaurs to be exact), so for a number of years i've had platform frames or my mattress and box placed directly on the floor. Currently i have a DIY platform frame i made from a couple of old pallets, but it still needs to be sanded down and better screwed together as well as painted. I mau even add casters so it's easier for me to move around since i rearrange often.

I have a very squishy, full mattress on a boring metal frame. I like it, it's comfortable.

I have a full size mattress with a memory foam topper. I want a new mattress really bad. I'd like to get a pillow top mattress. I'd also like a bigger size, but I don't have the space for anything bigger than a full.

I'm on a borrowed bed at the moment. Comfortable enough, but I miss the mattress my parents bought for me. Someday I hope to collect what little furniture I have, but had to leave behind when I moved.

High density foam mattress queen size but the frame is maple and has a Japanese style to it with inlayed ebony symbols for balance on the head and foot board. The frame makes the bed almost a full size bigger which makes it hard to find the right apartment for just a single girl.

We have a queen size pillow top and both love it. It's on a tall frame so there are so advantages to that, and we built our own headboard for sex toy storage. If we were to get another bed, the only thing we'd have different is the addition of a canopy.

We've got a full size but want a queen or king and desperately need a new bed frame if anything. Ours squeaks to high heaven. It can be a little distracting...

Queen sized 4 poster for us, originally we had the regular box spring and mattress and oh how I miss them. Today we have the Sleep Number bed and it just isn't firm enough for me, I have to pump it up every night. One of these days, that will change...

We have a very nice 100% organic natural latex mattress. I would love a bed frame that had the padded headboard.
