Is one side of the bed "yours"? Or do you just sleep wherever you land?
What side of the bed do you sleep on?

I chose "it varies" because right now, I have two beds. At my parents' house, I have a single bed, so there are no "sides." At school I'm using a full that will be going to my brother when I move out, and I always sleep on the right side, mostly because it's right next to my nightstand.

I sleep on the right side, she sleeps on the left.

Mine is weird, because we do usually end up having 'sides'.. but then we get tired of that side and switch. ;p And then when I'm away at college I have my own full-sized bed and I'm all over it.

It varies for me. In my single bed at school, I sleep in the middle; at home I have a full, and I sleep on the right because that's where my nightstand is. Whenever we share a bed, he sleeps on whichever side is against the wall (when you thrash around in your sleep, you're gonna fall off sometimes).

Ahh, I see. When my little girl's not here, I'm all around my bed too because I have extremely bad nightmares lately. Generally though, I do end up on the right still.

right side and we never swich sides that would mean reseting alarm clocks and moving night stand items not happening (my cubby .357mag and a butplug)
We also have a sleep # bed and i keep my side firmer than hers

Only have a twin bed, room is too small for a bigger bed, but it wouldn't be allowed anyway, dad doesn't allow anyone to spend the night and sleep in my room. (Which means if my boyfriend DID live in Cali, he could never spend the night.) Ah well....

I'm honestly not sure how to vote... when standing at the foot of the bed, my side is the left side, but from *in* bed my side is the right side. I'm not sure what to call my side!

I get the left side, he gets to sleep by the door. I think only because I get up earlier than him so I get to deal with resetting the alarm clock before I leave for him.

I sleep closest to the wall. Moreover, I get really put off when there's no wall to be near.

I always sleep closest to the door, and my husband closest to the window. The way our room is currently arranged, that puts me on the right side.
11/23/2009
... Technically it varies. If my darlin' is home it's usually the side closest to the wall, depending on how the furniture is arranged. But I *HAVE* to be next to the wall if there is two of us in bed. It drives me crazy when he rearranges things so the bed is floating randomly in the middle of the room.. And if he's NOT.. well I kinda have this horrible habit of sprawling out like a star, making sure all four corners feel loved, and sufficiently covered.

With Sigel I sleep farthest from the door, but Arch's apartment has two doors if we use the fold out couch so it's the right side of the bed for me. If we sleep in the bedroom it's the side farthest away from the door.

I am on the left, I am interested though how many women sleep on the left....seems like more than average so far.

I sleep on the right, he sleeps on the left. He always is half-way pushing me off the bed with his incessant cuddling though.

I said I sleep on the right side of the bed, but apparently I sleep on the left. My husband is constantly making fun of me for mixing them up and I think sometimes he does these things just to make me forget which is right.
So if we're laying on the bed next to each other, on our backs, I am on the right side. He says that's not how you tell which side of the bed you sleep on, you have to stand at the foot of the bed and look at the headboard, so I sleep on the left. I'll just start sleeping in the middle to avoid all of this confusion in the future.

For me it varies based on the position of the bed in the room. I know it's weird and hard to explain but it generally ends up being the side of the bed with more open room next to it.

It is sort of amazing what creatures of habit most of us are.
When my boyfriend got his thigh tattooed for 8 straight hours he was very sore. I am very prone to grabbing onto his thigh affectionately, especially when we're sleeping, so we tried to switch sides for a couple nights so I wouldn't accidentally hurt him. It felt incredibly awkward to be on his other side!

I sleep on the right side cuz my b/f wants to sleep on the left side. He says from this position he can better reach me while lying on his left side, he is right handed.

I sleep in the middle. We have a king size waterbed so, being in the middle lets me get closer to my hubby. He sleeps on the left side.

I can handle sleeping by the wall if I'm the only one in the bed, otherwise I end up feeling really claustrophobic, lol.

I sleep on the left. I swear this is from when we started sharing his twin bed which was up against the wall, and I had to get up early for classes...
Creature of habit. Twenty years later and a queen size bed and I'm still on the left, but when he's not around it's ALL mine.
