What was your first memory?

I have a pretty bad memory while my girlfriend can remember way back to between one and two years old.

I think my first memory was the intro to Return of the Jedi when it was in the theaters in 1983. I remember C3PO and R2 going up to Jabba's Palace...then nothing.

Mine is kind of weird but I remember my mom being pregnant with my younger sister, I remember her having morning sickness. I was around 2. I have also told my mom that I remember being in the car when my dad brought her to her job and the specific job I remember going to is where she worked when I was 2 as well. That's as far back as I can go though...

I remember having a diaper changed once, but I think that was my dad being lazy and having me be in diapers rather than train me to use the bathroom at just under 3 or so. I remember a lot of things from when I was 3 or 4. I vaguely remember living in our first house, and I remember living with my grandmother when we moved. And traveling back to visit my other grandparents. And a whole bunch of random tidbits lol.

I remember the exact same things at that age, too! My mother being pregnant with my brother and her being a nurse. I also remember my nursery (Alice in Wonderland, with lime and white furniture) and potty training (ick) from that time as well.

My first memory is going to the pet store to get our first dog. Actually the only part I remember about it is the dog pooping on the floor

The very earliest I can remember, I think, was just after my parents had finished building their log cabin in North Ontario. Didn't have any power in the place yet, and I must have been two or three years old.

Was sitting on my dad's knee early in the morning, having breakfast. What he called breakfast; no power meant no fridge, which meant no milk. It was fruit loops in water.

Not a winning combination.

After that, I remember a few years later on when they brought home a puppy... which they had gotten because only a few weeks before that, I had been bitten by a dog and required several stitches in my arm. They had gotten the puppy to ensure that I didn't grow up with a fear of dogs. Worked rather well, too, though these days I prefer snakes and rats to the usual pets.

I have several memories from the first house I lived in, and we moved away when I was 2. I remember learning how to climb out of my crib.

I remember 2 specific things from when I was 2. We had a green car and we went to a car dealership (the building was pink!) and traded that car in for an Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser. The other thing I remember is that we had a big fluffy white dog named Missy that would go down the slide on the swing set. I have been told that the dog ran out the front door and got hit before I was 3.

Oddly enough my sister has no early memories.

I remember my crib and my bedroom carpeting. I don't know how old I was, but I must have been a baby because I was in a crib. After that I remember talking to my little brother while he was still inside of my mom's belly. I wanted to name him big bird.

I can remember playing on this big rock in front of my pre-school when I was 3-4. I took a pysc class and they said most of our earliest memories are attached to a strong feeling like fear or pain.

Sitting on the counter helping my mother decide which spices should go into the pasta. I was about two or three. It was a regular thing. She wanted to 'train my sense of smell'. ...It worked though, I can spice anything!
