Anyone familiar with the Ellen show? I absolutely adore this woman and it was my husband who turned me onto her talk show. She's always, always upbeat even when she's down and she does such amazing things for people who've worked hard all their lives and never managed to get ahead. The things she does for educators and their schools...I haven't watched an episode yet where her kindness didn't bring a tear to my eye (a few even made me bawl). She's just an amazing person and it's incredibly uplifting to know there is someone like her in this world -- someone of her status who is like her in this world. She truly understands adversity and discrimination on levels a lot of us will never experience (thankfully). So yeah, in case you can't tell I really admire her and she can always turn a smile upside down.
In reality, as far as someone involved in my life, it's my husband. He always makes me laugh and knows the right things to say to make me stop worrying over something that seems to be going wrong. He's a pretty fantastic guy, I think I'll keep him.

I'm glad someone else here likes her! I remember seeing her first appearance as a comedienne on the Tonight show in the 80's and writing down her name because she was so funny. I have followed her career ever since and think they finally realized it's during her interactions with people that she really shines. She's such a quick wit, but never mean which I find rare, especially when people like that are surrounded by Hollywood types.
Anyway, I can't believe I forgot to mention what always improves my mood, my cats, but also pets or animals in general. Watching their antics always lightens my mood. They make me laugh every single day at some point!
