I've got an Associate's degree but I'd like to return some day to earn my Bachelor's.
What is your relationship with college?

I have been to college for a few things! I have so many interests and just want to learn about everything! I went to school for Phlebotomy,Interior Design, Early Childhood Education and am currently looking into a program on drug/alcohol counseling. I can't decide what I want to be when I grow up!

I graduated and have an AA, but I might go back to my JC just for more classes. It gets me out of my depressing job (I can't find another to replace it, stupid recession) and plus I still don't know what to do with my life, so I thought a mix of fun and practical classes might be up my alley. Looking forward to seeing if they offer yoga/meditative classes, maybe take a ceramics class, etc etc. Best time to go, too, I still have my Board of Governer's Grant to use up and have no bills to pay really plus a bunch of free time on my off days when I'm not cleaning the house. I'll do anything right now to lift my spirits and get out more.

Just graduated with my bachelors this past spring. I'm working one very interesting internship, and a number of small part-time jobs while I figure out what's next. Eventually I'd like to go back for more school, but I have so many different interests that I need to take time to think about which one(s) to pursue.

I have an extremely useful degree in Broadcast and Cinematic Arts (B.A). So far, it's actually prevented me from getting jobs! I tried to go back Fall 07 to become a teacher, but "No child's behind left" has been one of the worst things EVER for the educational system.
I'm thinking I'm gonna go back in a couple years to get certified as an Ultrasound or X-Ray tech.

My wife and I both have a Masters degree - which isn't all that important. I think it's about parity - it helps to be intellectually compatible as well as physically and sexually compatible.

Interesting perspective. When I was growing up (60s) going to college was 'the ticket' - not so much anymore. As many so called 'white collar' jobs have been outsourced as 'blue collar' manufacturing jobs - so there is no job security at all.

I graduated highschool and then went on to a skilled labor trade (Pipefitting, plumbing, and HVAC) with a 5 year aprenticeship program. I got paid to be trained and have been in my trade for about 10 years while most of my friends that went to college just drank and got a degree in something they will never use. I would love to see more people get involved in a skilled trade instead of going to college...unless they have a real goal and pursue the classes to acheive that goal.
It just seems I find alot of people saying "I went to college!" and they get the degree but end up working a profession or job that has little (or nothing) to do with what they went to school for. less

On the other hand my father - a pipe fitter has been crippled by working long hours of working on hot steel in sub-zero & 100+ degree days. So he has the secure retirement - I have my health. I guess it's just up to choice.
I agree that too many kids go to college just to avoid getting a job - when they would be better off finding a trade. However many see all the trade jobs (in CA) go to illegal aliens - so it's not an attractive option for them.
My son is 17 and trying to make those decisions now - my advice is to get a government job! Good pay, the only job security to be had and primo retirement benefits!

graduated may of 2009 after taking a few years off!!!

Currently a junior in college pursuing a BFA in animation and art history. Then probably going to another art college for a MFA in experimental animation. I'd like to become a technical director for lighting 3D scenes. I'm very good at creating atmosphere, but we'll have to see where things take off! I'm going to have to move to California after I graduate mainly due to that's where the jobs are for what I'd like to go into.

Sophomore in college pursuing a BA in English with a minor in Economics. The dream? Get a MFA in Screenwriting and become rich and famous! The plan B? Get a MBA and join corporate America. Although I really wouldn't mind teaching English either.

I'm finishing up in May (glory glory Hallelujah!) with my bachelors and taking a year off before I go on to my Masters.
I tell you, I'm a little shocked at how open some of the girls I have classes with are about their sex toys. One actually turned around to me the other day and asked if I'd ever heard of Lelo "and, like, by the way, which one would you get?"

I graduated with my double BA in December 09 and am in grad school now.

Currently in college, going for a BS and BA.

I had no desire to go to college out of HS, so I didn't. I spent years as an executive secretary (which I loved) and now do some other office work that I enjoy as well. I really enjoy painting and writing, but never had much of a drive to get a formal degree in either. I don't regret it and am very happy with my life without that experience.
The only thing I've ever considered is either going and taking some local literature classes because I think I'd really enjoy them.

I went for 2 years right out of high school and decided to take a year off because I was literally going a bit crazy. Naturally that year was more than a year, though in my defense my dad was diagnosed with cancer during that time. When he died I made plans to return to school and then I found out I was pregnant. Delayed again! I wanted to wait until my son was at least a year to return to school, he was actually closer to two since his birthday is in December. I have my two year degree and am now working on my four.

I graduated college and got my B.S in Psychology and Nursing a long time ago, earned a Master's and still need to sit for Boards in my specialty every 5 to 10 years. I'm sitting for Boards in less than 2 weeks and should be studying right now.
(for the 3rd time, even when you pass, you have to Sit again in 5 to 10 years. It's ridiculous. Even doctors don't have to Sit more than once.)
UG.

I graduated collage with a bachelor's degree in Dietetics and Nutrition and I'm currently going for my Master's in the same. However unlike most I decided to go straight for Master after getting my first degree so I still have to complete my internship and registration exam to be become an RD.
If time and money don't get in the way I could totally see myself going back to school some day after I finish my MS.

I had no idea what I wanted to do with life when I got out of school. I hated school, HATED it. I started taking the required classes at a community college, and I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do. The only thing that really appealed to me was some sort of Daycare/early education teaching. Well at the time I was working and had a sweet shift, set days off, and was making more than I would per year doing either of those things. So I quit wasting money on college and continued to work. Now I get to stay at home with the kiddos so it all turned out great.

I went, I saw, and didn't quite conquer! I've been having a hard time going back to finish considering I completely changed my mind on the degree I was working towards.

I'm a student with one year left.

wow I am surprised how many college students are here! woot woot!

Graduated from college, now in graduate school. Sometimes it feels like I've been in school forever, but I love it.

I'm in college now, though I have no idea how far in I am or how much more I have to go. I have had periods where I have just not bothered going for a semester or so.

I finished college in the standard 4 years with doing summer school as well, and there is absolutely no desire for me to go back.

I'm currently a freshman in college.

I've currently got an MA in Art History and am currently in my first year of a doctoral program. This will suck up the next 6-10 years of my life.

I'm graduating in a week!
