I identify as a republican, because that is where most of my views are, however, I'm more towards the liberal side of the party. I used to be registered as "independent" but I swung too far to one side rather than the other, so I switched. I live in a mostly democratic area, (Baltimore), so I don't talk politics much lol

I am in the "Get rid of all of them and lets start from scratch" party. Honestly, I can't stand any of the parties.

Other, I think. I'm a registered Democrat but I don't just vote along party lines (though I do usually vote for Democrats, that isn't what influences my decision).

it's unpopular to appear aligned with a party. there's a certain image of the independent as a wise, free thinker, but research does not hold this to be true. Independents are usually more easily swayed by campaign media and more likely to shift with the political winds.

there's also regionalism. I've considered myself a Democrat in one state and a republican in another because of how different the parties were. In my experience, the (state level) Democrats are closer to the center in the midwest and south, while Republicans used to be closer to the center in the northeast and west, although this has been changing recently. A Massachusetts Republican and Nebraska Democrat are probably pretty similar.

On the whole though, I consider myself a Democrat.

None. Don't give a flying hoot about politics. Either way us taxpayers will pay...and... while I agree with parties on some issues as they apply or are important to me, I couldn't care less in a whole.

Democrat all the way. I've been one since the age of 12, and formally registered as one at the age of 18!

And in very close elections, it is usually the Independents who determine the election outcome!

I am foremost a Fiscal conservative and a Social moderate who believes in small government. I am also a business owner who has a right to hire or fire anyone I chose without someone else telling me how to run it. I am kind of like that ‘Joe-the-plumber guy’ who is against ‘redistribution-of-the -wealth’ (which is Socialism my friends) to those people who ‘pay NO taxes’ (nearing 50% of eligible tax filers today). So I guess the likely party that best aligns with my values is Republican. I use to be an Independent but realized that they had no candidate in the game to shape the selection process of advancing a person to run against ANY big-spending, big-taxing, big-government, anything-goes, don’t-play-by-the-Cons titutional rules, Liberal democratic opponent.

I don't vote based on party, I vote based on the candidates and what they say they're going to do.
