I have a song the I put on my phone from my computer. It's a cute J-Techno song. And some people get their own songs that ring when they call. The funniest one is that my mom is the "Chicken Fried" song.

Mine is a person talking. It is pretty funny...
Weird male voice saying "Uh, hi, ditzy... Uh, friend calling you... you say hello."
It is a joke between me and my Uncle (we are really close). It makes me laugh every time I get a call.

The Gauntlet title theme from the NES classic is my main ringtone
It ousts me as a nerd every time. Sometimes the villagers throw rocks

I also have some Mega Man songs and FF songs and the Zelda theme for special people as well as a few Iron Maiden and obscure metal guitar licks for other alerts.

My general ringtone is, "Hey Ya" (the shake it like a polaroid picture part) by Outkast

My text message ringtone is "Refuge of the Roads" (the clouds of Michaelangelo part) by Joni Mitchell

My mother gets "Ding Dong the Witch is Dead" and my father gets the Mario Brothers theme song.

I like to change it up, though, so I'm sure I'll be back with new answers in a week or two...

I made a whole bunch on my computer a few years ago, and just kinda switch back and forth between them. My current ringer is "The Girl All The Bad Guys Want," and everything else I have set for whatever generic tone the phone preset.

Mine is the intro from Melissa Ferrick 'Drive'. I also have the end battle music from Final Fantasy (if you've seen Advent Children you'll know where I got that idea from.) My email indicator is just a gong, one time, no repeating.

Right now it's 'The Hazards of Love' by The Decemberists, but I was just thinking the other day about how it's getting a bit old and I need a change.

Good thread. Maybe I'll pick up an idea or two.

I'd never buy a ringtone. I put songs on my memory card from my computer and transfer them over to my phone. My ringtone is a song from one of my favorite video games. When my dad calls my phone plays a line from the movie Nacho Libre. When my grandma calls my phone plays the Golden Girls theme song.

Tencho/midi version of 'Ave Maria' which was one of the pre-programmed ones on my cell. I might (if I get the gumption) get the 1970's 'Doctor Who' theme. I'm also partial to Monty Python's 'Always Look on the Bright Side of Life' from Life of Brian.

I have a few. Mom gets the Law & Order theme song, Sister is Brandi 'Best Friend', Brother is Butters singing 'What What in the Butt' and husband gets changed every few months when we find a new song to love. Right now it's Usher 'There Goes My Baby'. I think my default is Owl City 'Fireflies'.

I always have it silenced. I hate talking on the phone, and most people I care to talk to know this, and text me...in which case it vibrates.

I use the ring tones that come with the phone. A guitar song for my husband, an old fashioned ring for most incoming calls, whatever the phone came with.

I tried to load a few tones from our computer, but I am hopeless with technology, and even my kids couldn't get the phone to take the tones properly. I had a Pikacu doing something that sounded like an orgasm for a while, but it drove me nuts, so I deleted it. It was funny, when it rang when I was out in public.

Peek....peek...P EEK...PEEK-AAAHHHH-CHO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! !!!!!!"
